Craigellachie lies on the banks of the River Spey overlooking the world famous Telford Bridge (built 1814) being midway between Aberdeen and Inverness it is the perfect location for touring the coastal villages of the Moray Coast, or the Cairngorm Mountains.

Situated in the heart of the Malt Whisky Trail there are many distilleries where you can have a wee dram. Craigellachie is also home to The Speyside Cooperage where you can watch whisky barrels being made in the traditional manner. The Speyside Way is a long distance walk which runs through the village, and there are many Golf Courses in the area
