Home description
This fabulous 3-level apartment was highlighted in Elle Dekor Magazine for its stylish and unique design. It is the brainchild of the owner and a talented young architect from Sarajevo. In the extensive renovation of this old stone house, every detail was painstakingly studied to find the perfect balance between the contemporary and the traditional.
After a 100-step climb from the main street Stradun, guests enter the apartment on the ground level to find a full-kitchen and half bath with washing machine & dryer. Continuing onto the second level brings guests to a colorful living room that is modern in design, but has the comfort of an old familiar room. The third level houses a bright, sun-filled bedroom with king-sized bed and well-conceived bathroom with shower. Amenities include air-conditioning in all rooms, a flat-panel satellite TV, DVD player, phone line, wireless Internet access, washing machine, and clothes dryer.
The house sleeps 2 adults with the possibility of 2 additional guests on the living room sofabed and is ideal for guests who are searching for both style and substance within the walled city.

The Dubrovnik Riviera/Islands region
George Bernard Shaw called Dubrovnik “the pearl of the Adriatic” when he visited here in the 1930s and Dubrovnik is still popular with visitors from all over the world. With its uniquely preserved medieval walls, brilliant sunshine, translucent waters and dramatic mountains, the Dubrovnik Riviera is a unique holiday experience that lives up to its reputation as a premier destination. Ideal for those who want to relax and sunbathe by the clear warm waters of the Adriatic, and if you’re feeling more energetic there is the magnificent Old Town to discover, or you can take longer trips on land or sea.
Dubrovnik / Dubrovnik Old Town area
Dubrovnik is clearly special. A magnificent curtain of walls surrounds marble streets and baroque buildings that exude a pearly light in the Adriatic sun. The main pedestrian thoroughfare, Stradun, is a melange of cafés and shops with outstanding monuments at either end. Churches, monasteries and museums ornamented with finely carved stone recall an eventful history and a vibrant artistic tradition. Beyond the city is a heavenly landscape of beaches, wooded peninsulas and a sea strewn with lush islands.

Guestbook for Star House
“We had a wonderful time in Star House. The location is so perfect that we felt as part of the town. Thanks to the beautiful, personal interior we did immediately feel at home. We even enjoyed one rainy morning... And we also enjoyed the romantic alley: some evenings we just sat on the stairs with a glass of wine. By the way, thank you that everything had been so well organized. From airport transit to key handing - we never had to wait. I will recommend the apartment to my friends and - one never knows - perhaps we will return one day...” -Barbara, Germany October 2009
“Star House was just as we imagined it, and the photos were representative of what we got. Thank you!” -Melissa, Australia October 2009
"Star House in Dubrovnik was excellent - great location, great facilities and very well maintained. Thanks very much!” -Jeff, UK August 2009
“Can we just say that our apartment was the envy of all the wedding party and we loved everything about it, except the steps (haha). We even found that it was better designed and more comfortable than the 5-star hotel where the other guests stayed. We will recommend it to any of our friends who travel there in the future. We really appreciated the welcome we received from Marko also.” -David, Ireland May 2009
“Star House was superb. Loved the interiors and vicinity to the middle of the Old Town! We used the kitchen almost every day and this made it easy for us to start the day! One downside though was the numerous stairs to get to the apartment (inevitable and worth the trade off for its location). Overall we did have a wonderful time. Dubrovnik is a wonderful city.” -Rosy, UK October 2008
