Divine I is situated on the 1st floor of an old renovated stone house. The apartment can accommodate up to 3 people comfortably. The bedroom comes with a double bed and wardrobe and the living area has a sofa that can be used by a 3rd guest, satellite TV and Radio/CD player. The kitchen is on par with the living area and is fully equipped to make your stay a hassle free one including oven, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, fridge/freezer, electric stove, a dishwasher etc. The entire tiled bathroom has a shower, hairdryer and a wash machine. The garden terrace is connected to the bedroom and is an ideal location to enjoy an outdoor breakfast or maybe some nice Croatian wine accompanied by some olives and cheese.
The apartment has air-conditioning (hot and cold) throughout to make your stay enjoyable whatever the season and there is wireless internet for the business traveller or for catching up with family back home. The Divine I apartment is located in the flat part of the Old town with no outdoor steps making it accessible for everyone, even for those having walking difficulties and family with young children. It can be combined with the Divine II & III apartments and would be perfect for a group up to 8.

The Dubrovnik Riviera/Islands region
Dubrovnik is the most well known destination of the Dalmatian Riviera with its famous medieval walled town, but there are many other beautiful and interesting places within easy reach by boat or bus.
Lokrum island, a UNESCO protected site, which houses the ruins of a former monastery and fort, plus a restaurant and plenty of secluded beaches, is a fifteen minute boat ride away from the Old Town harbour. Cavtat, a picturesque village, set around a harbour, is about 50 minutes boat ride from the old harbour or 20 minute bus drive. It has lots of harbour side cafes, rocky and pebble beaches, and pleasant, waterside walks. Elafiti islands are really a perfect getaway from city crowds. The most popular islands are Kolocep, Lopud and Šipan and are also the only inhabited islands. Daily departure from the old harbour or from Gruž harbour. Mljet Island is famous for its natural beauty and the west part is a National park. The park is definitely worth a trip. Daily departure from Gruž harbour. Peljesac Peninsula is well known for its wines. The whole peninsula is covered with dense evergreen and Mediterranean vegetation. On the way, stop at Ston, famous for its shellfish restaurants -the best in the region- which offer oysters as a speciality. A day trip not to be missed!

This is a mixed review, but I hope others find it helpful. I like to write the sorts of reviews I like to find myself. Stayed at Divine 1 for 5 nights in September. We stayed in a studio for 3 nights the prior week and were looking forward to something more spacious. The apartment is more attractive in person than in the photos. It's quite spacious with the added bonus of the bedroom being in the back of the apartment away from all of the street noise and daylight - that was a lovely surprise!. The garden is lovely, but anytime we spent more than 5 minutes out there, we were eaten alive my mosquitos. It was disappointing not to be able to take leisurely breakfasts outside, or have a drink before dinner. We booked apartments based on availability of outdoor space so this was a let down. In off season it's probably just fine. Bed relatively comfortable, though you can feel the springs through the top. Also, the linens were a bit sparse/threadbare indicative of lower quality. An upgrade to sheets, towels and duvet would be a nice enhancement. Kitchen very well equipped with plenty of space and nice dining table. Washer dryer is lovely extra, though the bathroom is tiny and needs some sprucing up. Sofa is super comfortable; however, it has an odor - I think it needs to be cleaned from prior use. We also had a problem with bugs, which admittedly, tainted our entire stay. Isabelle was very responsive and the owner did come by the apt and spray, but it was infested. We spent 5 days tiptoeing around, cleaning up bug carcasses and breathing insecticide. We were told this has never happened before and they were as responsive as they could have been while we were staying in the unit, but it was very unfortunate. We were told they were going to thoroughly investigate after we checked out since no one was checking in the following day. This unit has a lot of potential and with a few minor updates would be a real find! Response: Dear Katherine, Thank you for sharing your experience at the Divine I apartment. Particularly appreciated were the smoothness of the transfer from the airport, the honesty and Viktor's restaurant recommendations. The apartment was clean, well kitted out and comfortable. If you want to improve the holiday experience for your guests the easiest way to do it is make some changes to the bed. The mattress springs are too close to the surface of the mattress, so a padded mattress protector would help, and English guests would probably prefer smaller pillows, (we would have). " My husband and I visited Dubrovnik for three nights on our way to our annual holiday destination in nearby Montenegro. What a little gem of an apartment we found in Divine !. The management of the apartment arranged our taxi transport from the airport and this worked really well. Our taxi driver was wo helpful, friendly and informative. We were then met at the Pile Gate by Viktor from Butterfly Services. He was brilliant. He helped us with our luggage and took us to the apartment, explaining things as we went. We cannot thank him enough for his care and attention. The apartment itself was great - not luxurious or glamorous but there was everything you would need and it was lovely and clean with a comfortable bed!!! It was so convenient for the city but so unbelievably quiet and peaceful. We couldn't have wished for anything better and it made our stay in Dubrovnik absolutely perfect. We will certainly return and when we do we will be contacting Butterfly Services. " We just returned from a 2 week trip through Slovenia and Croatia. Dubrovnik was our last stop and we were hoping that Devine 1 would offer both a wonderful location in the heart of Old Town and the comforts we were seeking. We were very pleased to find both! The apt has 2 air conditioners (1 in living room, 1 in bedroom), a full kitchen, wireless access, and a wonderful location off the Stradun in Old Town....with no outside stairs. Although the town can get pretty noisy at times, we never heard a sound from the streets in the apartment. And the lovely terrace got lots of use as we would drink wine and plan our next day's activities. You cannot do better than this apartment in Dubrovnik and Viktor and Isabelle were very helpful with the booking, check in, and local information. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!" Trip advisor review June 2011

“We have just returned from a week's holiday in Divine I right in the heart of Dubrovnik's old town and can't rate it high enough! The service offered by Butterfly Services was superb. Isabelle and Viktor were extremely helpful and had a wealth of knowledge of the town and the area. The apartment was perfect for 2. Homely, clean, in a peaceful spot yet yards from all you would wish to do and see. Its lovely terrace (with an orange tree!) was a welcome shady spot in the heat of the day. The kitchen was well appointed and the bed very comfortable. We wished we could have stayed longer! The apartment is perfectly located - the lack of stairs to get to it was certainly a huge plus. After we left Dubrovnik, we spent another 4 weeks in Croatia before going on to Slovenia and Austria. We found the Croatians to be gracious and kind. I remember with very pleasant thoughts our first experience of the thoughtfulness Croatians showed us and that was when Viktor handed me a box of green tea Isabelle had sent along with him for us. “We had a fabulous time in Dubrovnik. The Divine apartment was perfect. It was in a great location, near all the sites and plenty of restaurants, but we didn't find it noisy at all being over the pizzeria. It was very clean and we had all the amenities we needed. The bed was very comfortable to sleep in. The shower worked fine. Viktor was extremely helpful when we arrived and we appreciated all his advice and tips of what to see during our stay. " Thank you very very much for an excellent holiday. You organised things superbly, and we really had a very good holiday. We were very pleased we chose an apartment, rather than stay in a hotel outside the town. Three days, we did things in the town, went back and made some lunch, had a quiet drink and read on the terrace, and attacked sight-seeing again in the afternoon. We were so pleased we didn't have to join the hordes all day. Dubrovnik and night was a delight - plenty of places to eat and we did two concerts as well. Apartment especially appreciated the two mornings it was raining - we could just have a lazy time and still be part of everything. Location excellent couldn't have been better. We were just two friends who wanted separate rooms, so we left the sofa bed up all the time - there was plenty of room. We didn't use the dishwasher or washing machine at all, nor the oven. Beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows. Bathroom and shower were excellent, with plenty of hot water. We specially booked the Divine apartment because of the terrace. Overall, good value for money and we'd stay again. Information received was excellent. Your services were excellent. We hadn't been before, and were very relieved to see our taxi-driver waiting for us, and Viktor waiting - he even carried our suitcases up for us. Very smooth, arriving and leaving, and very reassuring that, if we we were affected by volcanic ash, we at least had friends to help in Dubrovnik.
