The Citrus Bay is situated on the ground floor of a newly constructed residential building. This lovely apartment has it's own private entrance and small garden. The apartment itself boasts lots of natural light with large windows to welcome in it's wonderful views. It can accommodate up to 5 people comfortably. The master bedroom has a sea and mountain view and consists of a double bed, parquet floors and double wardrobe space for guests' belongings. The second bedroom consists of two single beds that can accommodate up to 3 children (trundle beds). The tastefully decorated apartment offers relaxing neutral tones, it contains a combined and very spacious open plan living and dining area with tiled floors and top of the range Italian kitchen, totally new and fully equipped with everything to make your visit a hassle free one...The dining space consists of a modern cherry wood table and six upholstered fabric chairs. The living room area has a leather sofa suite, A/C, TV, Satellite, DVD, stereo and plays station. The fully tiled bathroom comprises of a toilet, washbasin, Jacuzzi, shower with massage jets and washing machine. This exclusive property offers guests the best of both worlds - privacy and seclusion with a beautiful view in a central location, perfect for relaxing!

The best part of this apartment is the wonderful large terrace with canopy that links the living room & dining room to the sea, offering beautiful views to the Adriatic and the Elafiti Islands. The terrace is equipped with outdoor table and 6 chairs on one side should the guests wish to enjoy some of the finer culinary treats Croatia has to offer. On the other side it offers a comfortable conservatory suite and coffee table, where you can unwind with a glass of Croatian wine whilst admiring it's spectacular sunsets....

A short 5 minutes walk takes you to the charming Lapad beach itself and bus station. There is also local tennis courts, internet garden, playground and a commercial centre a few minutes walk from your front door so everything you could possibly need is on hand.There is also a regular bus service, so a car is not necessary to enjoy your time with us.
The bus connection Lapad/Old town is excellent. The line 6 runs every 15-20 mn from early morning till late evening making the city very close. The timetable can be seen on Dubrovnik Libertas website. http://www.libertasdubrovnik.hr/gradski.pdf

The Dubrovnik Riviera/Islands region
Dubrovnik is the most well known destination of the Dalmatian Riviera with its famous medieval walled town, but there are many other beautiful and interesting places within easy reach by boat or bus.
Lokrum island, a UNESCO protected site, which houses the ruins of a former monastery and fort, plus a restaurant and plenty of secluded beaches, is a fifteen minute boat ride away from the Old Town harbour. Cavtat, a picturesque village, set around a harbour, is about 50 minutes boat ride from the old harbour or 20 minute bus drive. It has lots of harbour side cafes, rocky and pebble beaches, and pleasant, waterside walks. Elafiti islands are really a perfect getaway from city crowds. The most popular islands are Kolocep, Lopud and Šipan and are also the only inhabited islands. Daily departure from the old harbour or from Gruž harbour. Mljet Island is famous for its natural beauty and the west part is a National park. The park is definitely worth a trip. Daily departure from Gruž harbour. Peljesac Peninsula is well known for its wines. The whole peninsula is covered with dense evergreen and Mediterranean vegetation. On the way, stop at Ston, famous for its shellfish restaurants -the best in the region- which offer oysters as a speciality. A day trip not to be missed!

„We had a wonderful time in Dubrovnik on our 1st visit to Croatia. We loved the Citrus bay apartment except the steps on the way back in the evening so we rented a moped which was perfect way to get around! Great restaurants, scenery, weather and lovely people. Cost always reasonable. Local wine and beer was surprisingly excellent! The cable car is a must do included the homeland war exhibition. " Thank you very much for your hospitality. We were not good guests from the beginning, we even come earlier than the check-in time was, supposing that our way will take us more time that it occur. But you always were so kind, nice, attentive and helpfull, and we are really happy to meet with your family..thank you. Our vacations in Citrus Bay apartment were wonderful, the apartment is really very nice & comfortable, and it has everything to enjoy & relax. Our children didn want to go home- they were impressed by jacuzzi, and a turtle in the garden... And we all loved to rest on the terrace... Upon arrival Victor provided us all possible information, so we feel ourselves like at home and knew where to go without long searchings and explore expeditions. I could recomend Citrus bay apartment for everyone who wants to relax away from crowds and be near everything that nesessary in the same time. The only one exception is the people with a very small babies on hands or in a strollers and elderly- becouse the steps will be difficult way for them. " Our stay at the Citrus Bay apartment was magical. Sitting on the beautiful patio, drinking Croatian wine, and looking at the Adriatic was beyond what we expected. Victor and Isabelle were so helpful. Victor arranged for our transportation from the airport with Petar Vlasic, who we used extensively during our stay. Butterfly services made all of the arrangments for our excursions to Montenegro and the wine peninsula. The apartment is in a fabulous location for the view of Lapad.. Even though there are many steps down to the main street, it is not a difficult walk. Often we took the city bus to town and a taxi home. Tlhe kitchen has everything you would need to cook, although local bread, cheese, and fruit are all we prepared. Having a washer was a real plus, since we came with only carry-on for 2 weeks. I can't recommend Butterfly Services enough. The planning for our trip took more than a year and Isabelle was very attentive during that time. Victor took very good care of us. Citrus Bay is a lovely apartment, well situated to explore Dubrovnik and beyond - it was nice to have a parking spot, but the close proximity to the beach, a pedestrian street filled with restaurants and bars and an excellent bus service to Dubrovnik made this a luxury and not a necessity. The apartment and it's lovely terrace are well-described and easily accommodated my family of five. Self catering was easy, but with restaurants this nice why would you? Heartily recommended. “Dear Victor & Isabelle. We had a wonderful week. The Citrus bay apartment was great, the transfer taxi punctual and the information you kindly provided very helpful. It was particularly welcoming to be met by all three of you and made for a very friendly situation. One suggestion I could make would be to have an optional welcome pack of a few basics e.g. milk/water/bread /butter/tea/cheese to be paid for at the same time as the balance of the rental. " We found the information on the Butterfly services website excellent, the photos, the description (rooms, equipment, etc) and the location of the apartment were all very helpful. Your answers to our emails were friendly and gave us the information we required. The booking procedure was easy to follow. It was very helpful being able to book our transfer to and from the airport through you with Peter who was polite and friendly. We were also grateful that you welcomed us on arrival at the apartment and that you had bought some essentials for us (milk etc) to keep us going until we got to the supermarket. The information you gave us of the local area, buses to catch to the old town, restaurants to eat at and tours to go on was very useful. (We still think the meal we had at the Taj Mahal restaurant in the 'old town' was the nicest meal of our trip! The apartment was clean, comfortable and had all we needed. The views were excellent, and the location was convenient to the beach, bus stop etc (once you got used to the 120 steps up the hill which was good exercise!). We left the apartment and Citrus Bay with the opinion that we had had a very relaxing, pleasant holiday, in a comfortable and clean apartment and met with very friendly and helpful people. We would have no hesitation in recommending Butterfly Services to our friends back in Melbourne. Now all we have to do is try to adjust to the cold wintery weather back here in Australia!" "Location was ideal for us, bus into the city was really easy but we had the local facilities too, once we had realised about the short cut that made the steps easy and James and Chloe had no problems with them, wouldn't want a buggy though on the steps. The location was perfect, the views were outstanding and it was very central for us to get around, at first we were concerned about the steps down to Lapad but they were fine. The apartment was very comfortable with great facilities, we could not have asked for more. "The Citrus bay: very clean; spacious; great balcony. Storage in bedroom 2 was limited. Overall the apartment was faultless. Information was very good - the 130 steps (no problem for us) may be useful for others to know. Butterfly service was very good and informative. The kitchen is very well equipped and easy to cook in. The only problem we found was that there was nowhere to put clothes in the smaller bedroom; it needs a wardrobe to put clothes in. The balcony was great to relax and eat in. The information we received and read on the website was correct and informative. The service from everybody was great and Viktor was very helpful with information about Dubrovnik and the surrounding area.
