Dubrovnik / Dubrovnik Old Town area
Although small in size, Dubrovnik Old Town offers great mixture of history, culture and modern living. Numerous historical sites, cultural venues, bars and restaurants are within short walking distances. If you decide to have an easygoing day on the beach then you have several options, city beach Banje just outside the old town with its trendy East West beach club, or if you are more into something a little bit unusual Buza bar on the rocks under the old city walls where you can take a dip, have a cocktail and watch beautiful sunset all at the same time. Dubrovnik is also famous for its summer festival July 10th - August 25th every year, then there is a film festival and many other cultural events.
How to get there
The closest airport is Cilipi airport 22 km away from Dubrovnik Old Town. Regular flights operated by British Airways and Croatia Airlines. During summer months numerous charter flights too. No trains. Regular bus lines as well as ferry lines.
