Some instructions for driving:
If you are passing by Zagreb then go to Karlovac. From there take the road to Split. The shortest way is road towards National park Plitvice Lakes, Gra?ac, Knin, Sinj, Trilj, Šestanovac. On the Makarska Riviera you will see the Adriatic sea for the first time on your trip. Then drive to Plo?e and further by E-65 to the South, towards Dubrovnik.
From last summer you can drive on the highway A1 from Zagreb to Split and in Dugopolje (before Split) turn to Dubrovnik and drive to Vrgorac (where the highway A1 ends) and then proceed to Plo?e, Opuzen and Dubrovnik using Adriatic Tourist Road (E65) along the sea. Distance (Zagreb - Zaton): cca 570 km; Duration: cca 6 hours.
If you are coming from Eastern Europe consider the shorter trip from Eastern Croatia (Slavonski Brod) through Bosnia & Herzegovina (Doboj, Zenica, Sarajevo, Mostar) to South Croatia (Metkovic, Opuzen).
Anyway, on your trip from Opuzen to Dubrovnik (where the main road is E65), you will pass through Neum (a short part of coast belonging to Bosnia & Herzegovina) and enter Croatia again. In Dubrovnik region you will pass the villages: Doli, Slano, Brsecine, Trsteno and Orašac. When you reach Zaton (yellow traffic sign Zaton - on the road), you will drive 3 km further on the main road (you will pass turning for Zaton Veliki). On your right side , on the large bang to the right you will see playgruond. When you pass by it, after 100 m you will see a signpost for Zaton Mali. You are almost here. Go on, on your left side you will see Supermarket Pemo, restaurant Babilon and on right side you will see bus stop, drive slow a bit further and you'll notice enough space to stop and take a sharp LEFT up the hill. After 300 meters away you will see a yellow house with the sign Apartment Radovac.
But if you are coming from Montenegro, or Dubrovnik airport you will choose direction to Split, over a nice bridge, you will see vilages Lozica, Vrbica, Štikovica and finaly Zaton Mali and nice bay. Drive slowly until a high stone wall with stairs on the right (near street). Right avay after this, town turn right uphill. After 300 meters away you will see a yellow house with the sign Apartment Radovac. If you are on your way, you see the Babylon restaurant or supermarket Pemo, it means you've made ??a mistake and you have to return.
