Home description

Lovely new apartment situated right in the heart of Dubrovnik Old Town. The apartment is in a building dating from the 17th century, and still has an old sink from 1760 - today used as a shelf! It has one bedroom with twin size bed and foldaway bed (on request), sofa bed (suitable for a child) and a cot (on request); kitchen; living room; bathroom with a bath and a toilet. It is surrounded by local tourist attractions (churches, monasteries, old city walls, galleries, museums, shops, restaurants...).

The Dubrovnik Riviera/Islands region

The Dubrovnik region is situated on the Adriatic coast overlooking the Mediterranean. The climate is characterized by mild winters and long, hot and dry summers. In addition to the famous city of Dubrovnik you can explore the surrounding area.

The island of Lokrum, a natural park, is just 15 minutes away by boat. The Elafite islands are also easily accessible and offer a taste of the Mediterranean as it used to be. The national park of Mljet is one of the islands. Daily excursions are available to these islands as well as to the town of Cavtat, a picturesque Mediterranean city in the beautiful region of Konavle.

In the region of Primorje, meanwhile, you can see numerous Renaissance summer villas, the best-known of which is Arboretum in Trsteno. The wine-producing region of Peljesac is known for its wines and beautiful small villages (Viganj, Trstenik, Zuljana) with small, unspoilt beaches as yet undiscovered by most tourists! The small town of Ston, dating back to the Renaissance, has one of the oldest active salt plantations in the world.

- For cheap flights check out Croatia airlines or Dubrovnik airlines.
- Car hire available from www.e-sixt.com
- Local buses run regularly between the airport and the town
- There are always local taxis available - fare should be no more than 35 euros.
- You can also come to Dubrovnik by boat or by bus
- We can arrange your transport to the apartment for a fee of 30 euros.

I have just returned from Dubrovnik and stayed in Apartment Tramontane on the basis of a recommendation posted on tripadvisor. It is located in the old town less than a minute from most of the attractions. It has one bedroom and a livingroom with small kitchen and bathroom off. I booked it through holidaylettings.co.uk. You will be able to see from the photographs that it is very clean and smart looking with contemporary furnishings.
