The Bougainvilliers Apartment is decorated with fresh and modern furnishings and offers close proximities to the beach and the city center. This apartment has 3 bedrooms and can sleep up to 6 people. All bedrooms have two single beds and wardrobes and have wonderful views overlooking the Adriatic Sea and the historic city walls. The bedrooms lead onto the long and narrow terrace running along the length of the apartment and is adorned with a beautiful bougainvilliers tree hanging over an iron table and set of chairs. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary amenities to prepare any meal with ease. There is a satellite TV, DVD player and free WI-FI access. This apartment is a suitable choice for a family or a group of friends that are looking to relax and be in close proximity to the city while enjoying the privacy of their very own oasis

Also worth knowing: Bougainvilliers is located on a hillside, guests must climb 96 stairs to reach the front door. The spectacular views from the terrace make the climb worthwhile!

Dubrovnik is the most well known destination of the Dalmatian Riviera with its famous medieval walled town, but there are many other beautiful and interesting places within easy reach by boat or bus.
Lokrum island, a UNESCO protected site, which houses the ruins of a former monastery and fort, plus a restaurant and plenty of secluded beaches, is a fifteen minute boat ride away from the Old Town harbour.
Cavtat, a picturesque village, set around a harbour, is about 50 minutes boat ride from the old harbour or 20 minute bus drive. It has lots of harbour side cafes, rocky and pebble beaches, and pleasant, waterside walks.
Elafiti islands are really a perfect getaway from city crowds. The most popular islands are Kolocep, Lopud and Šipan and are also the only inhabited islands. Daily departure from the old harbour or from Gruž harbour.
Mljet Island is famous for its natural beauty and the west part is a National park. The park is definitely worth a trip. Daily departure from Gruž harbour.
Peljesac Peninsula is well known for its wines. The whole peninsula is covered with dense evergreen and Mediterranean vegetation. We recommend a stop at Ston, famous for its shellfish restaurants -the best in the region- which offer oysters as a speciality.

From beginning to end, my friends and I had a brilliant time at The Bougainvilliers. We were met at the airport by a driver and driven to Dubrovnik for a very reasonable fee. We were taken straight to meet Viktor, and he took us to the apartment. He was SO friendly, even helping us with our bags up the steps to the apartment (the only minor complaint we had, but we were fully aware of this when we rented the apartment so we can't be too annoyed!). He gave us great local knowledge too and took the time to introduce us to the area. The apartment was spacious, two bedrooms were air-conditioned (which was great during a heat wave), the third didnt but there were two free-standing fans for use in the apartment so that was fine. The pool was SUCH A LUXURY in Dubrovnik. We were there for a wedding and we were the envy of all the other guests who were having to take on the steps to get to the beaches for a cooling swim. I would go back to the bougainvilliers in a heartbeat. It was reasonably priced, and it was everything we needed and more. It wasnt luxurious, but then wasn't sold or priced as a luxury property. We could not have been made more welcome and there was nothing any more that we could have wanted during our stay. FIVE STARS! |

"The Bougainvilliers Apartment is a great apartment located just outside the Old Town of Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik is a very hilly town and as long as you can walk up steps access is not a problem. The location is really quiet at night but with easy access to the restaurants and bars.The apartment is well furnished and has plenty of kitchen utensils for food and drinks. The pool is a great way to cool down after the heat in the summer and would be ideal for kids. The transfer from the airport is really easy to get to the apartment and we were met by Viktor who helped with our luggage. We would recommend the apartment for both familys and small groups. " We really enjoyed our visit to Dubrovnik, and will definitely come back. The town is superb in every way - architecturaly, historically, touristically - , and the coast and its archipeligo of islands utterly beautiful. The aparment was just great. It was neat and tidy inside, and outside the terrace was always in the sun, but with shady corners to retreat to if necessary, and with plenty of loungers and garden chairs. The pool was perfect for our family. When we looked down on the apartment from the top of the cable car journey, we could see how lucky we were to have found an aparmtnet with a swimming pool.The information on the website was fair and accurate, and the practical information in the apartment had really good ideas for activities. We took up one of them - an excursion to Mostar - and would recommnd that to other visitors. The transfer to the apartment worked perfectly, and prior to that the booking experience was flawless. If you did not have a budget to eat out a lot, the impracticality of climbing steps in the heat with a lot of groceries every day might be a problem, but we did mostly eat out so had no problem with the steps. " Dear Isabelle and Viktor -First, there aren't enough adjectives to describe Dubrovnik which has to be one of the world's most beautiful cities and best-kept secret. Our family's stay ( two grandparents, two adult children and a 9-month old baby) at The Bougainvilliers apartment was perfect. From our earliest communication with you during the reservation process; through the complicated airport pick-up and transfer of all of our stuff with 2 different arrivals and a late plane - everything went unbelievably smoothly. Viktor's "hands-on" help and his valuable advice on what to see, what times to visit and where to eat; coupled with Butterfly Services responsiveness and personalized service, was exactly what was needed . OKay...96 steps up to the Bougainvillers apartment wasn't the easiest climb, but the spectacular view of the blue Adriatic, the red tiled roofs and the old city from the huge wrap-around terrace, made it all worthwhile. The pool was heavenly and the apartment had everything we could possibly want. We've told everyone we know to visit Dubrovnik and contact you to make their trip the best it could be. " We had a great week at the Bougainvilliers. The villa was clean and bright and just right for our needs. We felt the kitchen could have been a little better equipped, but no complaint really. Upon arrival we were very glad that Viktor helped us with the suitcases (and upon departure too). He was very kind and helpful. “We had a really great holiday in Dubrovnik & we were really impressed with the apartment. The location was perfect & facilities were exactly what we needed. The decor was tasteful & simple & the apartment was obviously kept clean & in a good condition. The transfers worked perfectly & it was really good to know that we didn't have to worry about bothering with taxis - especially as there were 6 of us. All the information we received both before we arrived & when we checked in was very helpful. Steve did mention that he didn't think the map on your website did the apartment justice in terms of location. It seems to show the apartment as being a bit further out. It was only when he checked on googlemap that he realised how close to the old town it was. Service in general was very good & it was nice to arrive to friendly faces & a warm welcome (not to mention help with the luggage up all those steps). We would definitely come back to Croatia & would recommend Dubrovnik as a great place to visit - either for a week holiday like we did or for a long weekend. “We all immensely enjoyed our holiday in Dubrovnik, the accommodation you provided us with was extremely spacious, clean and Viktor was very welcoming on our arrival. The beds were very comfortable, and the pool, bathrooms and kitchen were immaculate. The information given on the website was very clear and useful and our expectations were met when we arrived, the pictures of the villa were especially helpful in getting across the size and layout of the villa. The booking procedure was very fast and both Isabella and Viktor were extremely good at keeping in contact up until we arrived in Dubrovnik. The tourist information Viktor gave us on the first day there was most helpful and enlightening, we would not have found many of the supermarkets without Viktor's help. The folder in the Bougainvilliers villa for good restaurants was also an extreme help to those that are unfamiliar with Dubrovnik. Overall we had an amazing time and would recommend booking a villa or apartment with Viktor and Isabelle to anyone considering a trip to Dubrovnik. "We had an excellent time in Dubrovnik and are extremely sad to be home in cold, wet Belfast!! I We would certainly recommend the Bougainvilliers to anyone visiting Dubrovnik. Firstly, Viktor was extremely helpful throughout the booking process and in the months thereafter (I sent him many many emails!). The website pictures did not do the apartment justice and were very pleasantly surprised when we saw it. The location was ideal for us, although bringing our cases up the 96 steps was not ideal! However, this was a minor inconvenience and certainly did not overshadow the beauty of the place. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, the only minor complaint was that the shower in the smaller en suite was very poor and some of girls complained that it sprayed everywhere! Having a pool was definitely one of the highlights of the apartment – especially on the very hot days. The information pack left in the apartment was very useful, especially when choosing where to eat. All in all we had an excellent experience using Butterfly services and Viktor was extremely helpful throughout. "We were really impressed with the accommodation Bougainvilliers (it actually looked better in real life than on the web!) The rooms were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for home cooking. The location was also ideal. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who was too unfit or old, but for me it was great. Viktor was amazing!! We did pretty much everything he suggested and it was really nice to get a local point of view. It was also good to hear how to get around without paying for expensive cruises etc. You were also great at replying to my emails when I had queries so I really couldn’t fault your communications.
