If you like to stay somewhere with a bit of character and a sense that you've discovered somewhere our tourists missed out on, then this is the place for you! Come and stay at our beautifully renovated flat, set on the lower ground floor of this 200 year old Georgian house with its own private entrance and secluded back garden. We spent a lot of time making sure that the flat retained its character but had a 21st century facelift. All the materials are high quality: solid walnut wood floors, natural marble and we've kept it all a soft white to create sense of calm, but its not cold. The lounge and kitchen area are more generous than is the norm with a flat of this size. The flat measures 950 sq ft or 88 sq m.

The location is brilliant for all Dublin has to offer. Just minutes away from St. Stephen's Green/Grafton Street and excellently situated for most of Dublin city's business areas. Everything is within walking distance or take a Dublin City Bike for hire (on our street).

Make yourselves at home:
This is our Dublin home for when we get back from London. We'll probably never live full time in Dublin, but we can dream. We've created a flat which is a real home, away from home. Feel free to use everything in the flat: fully stocked kitchen, Nespresso maker (I can't live without), books, DVDs, toys (hidden away for when our little people stay).

Support is close-by if you need it:
I'm the oldest of a big family and I live in London, but my family all live locally and help when there is a special request or problem. Ask any question and if we can, we'll help you find what you need. For longer stays, 3 months plus, I'm happy to make minor alterations in the flat to meet your needs. My mother Mary is a God send and my brother Michael knows the place like the back of his hand as he did most of the building work.

The Neighbourhood:
For those of you who know Dublin, you'll know that it is a small city compared to most. Our flat is in a lovely area. If you turn left when you exit the flat, you head towards the beautiful residential area of Portobello which is full of Georgian elegance and quirky coffee shops. If you turn right, you head towards Camden Street, then St.Stephens Green/Grafton Street and you are in the heart of Dublin where you can find everything cultural, business, shopping, restaurants and great bars/clubs.
We are also close to the canal. I run along it when I'm back. It's great first thing in the morning. There is also a good pay-as-you go leisure centre in Rathmines called The Swan Leisure Centre, just a 5 minute walk away with a swimming pool, classes and gym.

Getting around:
You are set in a great spot for walking to where you want to go. If that's not your thing, take a Dublin Bike - you can hire one from our street, there is a drop off spot on Grantham Street. It's a great way to get around the city. We are very close to the Luas line which is our tram service in Dublin which takes you further out to South Dublin. It is a great way of getting to work or going out shopping out of town in places like Dundrum. There are also buses and taxis you can use.

Get in the know:
My favourite cafes/restaurants close by: Lennox Street Cafe - amazing brunch (best in the city), Discover the Cake Cafe hidden at the back of the Daintree Print Shop, Camden Kitchen (on our street) really special french influence food, Asian street food restaurant on Camden Street (around the corner) really amazing food, great to eat in or take out, Bars Anseo on Camden Street is great has a slightly student-like vibe but really good. I could go on and on. Check out Dublin Castle, Gaiety Theatre, National Concert Hall, they are all walking distance.
