MALAHIDE HERITAGE VILLAGE
Malahide heritage village is the heart of the community with a vibrant atmosphere and is filled with shops, restaurants and pubs.
Take a stroll around the our pretty village, gaze at the traditional shop fronts with their beautiful floral displays and hanging baskets. The locals are very friendly and there is lots to see and do
MALAHIDE BEACH & COASTAL WALK
Malahide is also home to golden sandy beaches, miles of rugged coastline and stunning views of Lambay Island, the Howth peninsula and Dublin Bay. Relax on the beach, go for a swim or take in the sea air and beautiful scenery on this lovely coastal walk.
Malahide Castle, set on 250 acres of park land in the pretty seaside town of Malahide, was both a fortress and a private home for nearly 800 years and is an interesting mix of architectural styles.
The Talbot family lived here from 1185 to 1973, when the last Talbot died. The house is furnished with beautiful period furniture together with an extensive collection of Irish portrait paintings, mainly from the National Gallery.
The history of the Talbot family is recorded in the Great Hall, where portraits of generations of the family tell their own story of Ireland's stormy history. Many additions and alterations have been made to this romantic and beautiful structure, but the contours of the surrounding park lands have changed little in 800 years, retaining a sense of the past.
The Marina supplies one of the iconic picture postcard views of Malahide with hundreds of yachts moored against the horizon. The Marina is one of the largest in Dublin with over 300 berths, combined with the well established yacht club makes Malahide a popular destination for visiting yachts from Ireland and overseas while the sheltered Broadmeadow estuary is ideal for dingy sailing, kayaking and windsurfing.
Malahide is situated 10 minutes from Dublin Airport and 20 minutes from Dublin City Center.
The house is located in a quiet family friendly neighbourhood with a children's playground and parking in front, 5 minutes away is the pretty seaside town of Malahide.
The local bus takes you right into the heart of Dublin city centre and runs every hour until 11 p.m in the evening.
Shops and the local pub is a five minute walk. Shopping malls, cinema and restaurants are all within a 5 minute drive
We are also a few minutes away from the main motorway that serves all routes to the North, South, East and West of Ireland.

"Everything catered for"
Excellent faultless attentive are some of the attributes of the service and family welcome which began at the airport and continued until departure.Ideally situated for Malahide and Dublin ctr.The rooms (as we went in every one)! were spotless, comfortable and welcoming, with the most utilized room being the kitchen, as this is were the beer flowed, breakfast arrived perfectly created as and when required. I would recommend Des & Sinead (Timmy & Coney) to everyone. We will return if only to buy them a drink Thanks Philip & Tracey

We stayed here on two occasions and felt welcome both times. Our hosts were exceptionally friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and the choice of continental breakfast was good. Public transport to Dublin CBD was handy (though not always frequent), and being picked up and dropped off at the airport was brilliant.

"The best Bed and Breakfast ever"
We, family of three, young son of 9 years, stayed 3 days last week with Des and Sinead. They are best hosts you will ever meet, rooms are modern and impeccably clean, breakfast entirely customized to your every desire. Des and Sinead do everything possible in their power to make your stay enjoyable. They give great recommendations for worthwhile places to visit, including culture, nature and playgrounds (very important, of course). We will be back for sure!

The Bus stop is a 5 minute walk, where you can get to the City center. Whenever I am in Dublin I will be staying there.
