The Dubai region

Opening in September this year is Dubai Metro, which being Dubai, is the largest monorail system in the World. This is the future of monorail with leather chairs and special carriages just for women and children.

It will have 47 stations and cover 52Kms; your stop is Jumeriah Lake Towers which is conveniently located right behind the apartment building. This station will also serve the Marina and air conditioned travelators will take you from the station into the heart of the marina.




One of Dubai’s greatest visitor attractions is its superb shopping. The city draws large numbers of ‘ shopping tourists’ from countries within the region and from as far afield as Eastern Europe, Africa and the Indian Subcontinent. How to get there

Dubai is one of Seven Emirates that belong to the United Arab Emirates located in the Middle East. About 80 airlines land daily at the Dubai International Airport, so getting here isn't difficult.

With Virgin, British Airways, Emirates, Royal Brunei, just to name a few.

The most common way of getting around is by taxi. They are recognizable by their cream coloured cars.

From September the Dubai Metro, the largest monorail system in the world. With leather chairs, and special carriages just for women and children this is the future, 47 stations covering 52 kms, and your station is Jumeriah Lake Towers, situated just behind the apartment building.(this is the station for the Marina also, serviced by air conditioned travelators linking the Marina with the Metro at Jumeriah lake Towers.

You can also rent a car provided you present a valid passport, driving license, are over 21 years of age . The rates are comparable with standard rental rates and the companies offer the full range of cars and SUV's for your convenience.

The road network is excellent, but be warned that the driving is somewhat erratic.

Dubai is unlike any middle-eastern holiday you will ever take. It is not somewhere you have to worry about visiting due to political unrest or crime situation. In fact, Dubai is a luxurious city destination offering a contrast of east meets west, where the traditional and modern blend in harmony.

Guestbook for Goldcrest Views

This was my first time booking a private rental. Karen made everything so easy, answering questions, paying over the internet, directions to Timeplace from the airport and sending my deposit back.
A very nice touch by Karen was to have more than just breakfast items awaiting us on arrival. This saved us a trip to the supermarket first thing in the morning as we didn't arrive until 12 midnight.
The Apartment was spotless, has everything you need and more. The indoor pool & spa, open 7am - 10pm, was a saviour for myself, my wife & the kids, it would be too uncomfortable in an outdoor pool in summer in Dubai. It also had a sauna, a gym with plenty of equipment, TVs on the wall, and change rooms so you don't have to walk back to your apartment in your bathers.
My wife also liked the fact there was someone manning the entry to the complex 24/7 & you needed to use your security pass to get into the building.
I would recommend Karen's apartment to anyone.

Everything is just perfect, the layout, the spacious living room, the decoration, the hygiene, and the facilities. The location is superb, at the heart of new Dubai, near to all attractions, beaches, and shopping malls. The kids enjoyed playing in the x-box. tout d'abord milles merci pour ce séjour inoubliable dans ton appartement à Dubai.
Superbe localisation, à 2 pas de la sheik Zayed road (autoroute qui dessert tout Dubaï), à proximité de la plage et de la trés célèbre palm jumeirah (visible depuis les 2 chambres de l'appartement) et à proximité des centres commerciaux marina mall et le célèbre emirates mall et ces fameuses pistes de ski.
Le contact par téléphone et mail est super. Les photos du site internet corrsepondent parfaitement à l'appartement.
Pour les prochains clients , bien pensez à faire un tour au 40 ème étage pour la piscine et au 38ème étage pour la salle de sport sans oublier le sauna et le hammam.
