Beautiful stone country cottage on split level on the road to the Mull of Galloway lighthouse. It has a lovely conservatory, fully fitted kitchen, sittingroom with log fire. King size bed. Views to the Mull of Galloway lighthouse, sea and Isle of Man on clear day. Pet friendly. Great Walks. Cosy. Two miles from local village of Drummore. Walking distance to the beaches and the lighthouse.
We have lots of beautiful gardens in the area to explore, Logan Botanical, Logan House, Ardwell Gardens, Dunskey Gardens, Castle Kennedy Gardens, Glenwhan Gardens and Aldouran Glen also garden centres - Soleburn Garden Centre with tea room.
Logan Botancial Fish Pond is worth visiting. In Drummore we have a volountary ran information centre with vast information about the area and history about the area.
We also have some lovely eating places - Clashwhannon, Queens Hotel, Mariners and the Gaillie Craig all around Drummore. In Sandhead we have Tigh na Mara Hotel and Woodlea Tearoom.
Visit Portpatrick a beautiful coastal village with great eating places and lots of live entertainment in the pubs at night.

There is not a phone signal at Auld Smiddy but up at our house you are most welcome to use the telephone and have free Wi Fi access anytime. If you had let us know about the television signal we would have called out a television engineer to fix this, we will now do this after reading the review. Thank you. Hope to see you both soon. Thank you for the great review. No phone or wi fi in cottages but you are always welcome at anytime up at the B & B to use the phone and Free Wifi. TV checked and working fine. Hope to see you both again. Diane & John
