Hilltop is a modern dwelling with self contained accommodation in a very desirable area on a hill in the countryside overlooking Belfast & Lisburn. The two double en-suite rooms have tea/coffee facilities, fridge and TV with use of wireless broadband, or alternatively use of owners desktop computer linked to broadband.

The kitchen/dining room (cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave) and there is seating for 8 at the table.

The guest lounge has 3 large picture windows where one can see for 10 miles or more on a good day, and comfort seating for 8 people. One of the settess is also a bed settee. Bed linen, towels, oil central heating and electricity are included in the price.

This place is ideal for disabled as there is a sloped path to front door and no step from front door throughout is more than 20mm. One of the en-suites is a wet room with no steps.

At the front of the bungalow there is a large garden laid out in lawns. At the back is a rough 1 acre field ideal for those who have dogs. A portable BBQ is available for use.There is a large double garage with sink and electricity and pets can be kept here. Note there are no gates at road otherwise this would impede visitors coming and going so for this reason adults with young children need to closely supervise children as they could wander onto the road.

APARTMENT - consists of 2 double bedrooms both en-suite. Enjoy own Dining room/ full kitchen and guest lounge with a double bed settee. The weekly price of £285 per week includes bed linen electricity, oil heating, towels, use of broadband and 40 inch TV, plus smaller 32 inch smart TV in one bedroom and 32" DVD TV in the other bedroom. (For visits of less than 1 week the pricing is £60 for first night and £40 for each additional night).

We want to ensure all our guests enjoy their visit and to assist we leave the essentials - tea, coffee, bread, milk, butter, jam to get you started. (For those staying 1 week or more who enjoy a wee drink we leave either a bottle of red or white wine - please state preference).

The County Antrim region

Drumbo is made up of two Irish words. Drum meaning hill and bo meaning cow. A literal translation is hill of the cow and it is still this way to-day. There is an ancient round tower dating from Viking times in the church yard in Drumbo.

Drumbo is a very small select country area with affluent commuters travelling daily to their work in Belfast and Lisburn. The larger houses in the area are £1m plus homes.


The round tower dating from viking days is the main landmark in Drumbo, The beautiful countryside makes up for a lack of village amenities in Drumbo. Lisburn which is 5 miles away has a multi cinema, swimming pool and numerous eating establishments on a large site on edge of town. Drumbo dog race track is close by and offers an excellant night out.

Both Lisburn (4 miles) and Belfast city centre (8.5 miles) are excellent cities for shopping. Places recommended within 1 hours drive are Belfast Zoo, Ulster Folk and Transport museum, drive by ferry from Strangford to Portaferry and return by road on other side of Pennisula.

Giant's Causeway and Antrim coast is about 2 hours drive and is an excellent day out especially if coastal route is taken.
