About the home

The Bungalow is situated on a 4* park resorts holiday park, which has two pools, gym, sauna, restuarant, bar and shop. Use of the pool and gym is by arrangement with the park and costs £5 a day for adults and £2.50 for children, weekly discounted rates are also available as well as family tickets at £45 a week..

A very comfortable base to explore the beautiful countryside and all that the garden of England has to offer. The Whitecliffe experience and the Saxon Way is within walking distance of the park. There are numerous places of interest to visit, including Dover, Walmer and Deal castles and the historic city of Canterbury is only 15 miles away. The Dover express train will take you to central London in an hour.

A direct fast train from Dover will take you to Stratford East in 45 minutes for the 2012 Olympic Games.

St Margarets at Cliffe is a quiet pretty seaside village with a shop, post office, pubs and restaurants. The Smugglers Inn is a must for that special meal.

This bungalow was new to the renting market 3 years ago and has been decorated throughout and all of the furniture replaced to make this a comfortable holiday home. It is safe for children and a cot and highchair can be provided if requested. The twin bedded room has a trundle bed with room for a cot when made into a single bed. All rooms have electric wall panel heaters.

There is a large fitted modern bathroom with electric shower over the bath.

There is a digital TV, DVD, radio, CD player, books, DVDs and games.

5 pairs of guests who came in our first year of renting have returned this year.

Wi-fi is available - ask at park reception.

There is a patio area outside the bungalow with garden furniture including a table for eating outside and reclinners. The holiday park has a children's playground area and football pitch. There is another large children's plyground next door to the park..

Conditions

A deposit of £50 for each booked week, will secure the accommodation and the balance to be paid 6 weeks before the holiday start date. If the bungalow is booked less that 6 weeks before the start date, the full amount will need to be paid. A 10% discount is offered to returning guests and for 2 week bookings. Discounts are also available for long term low season bookings.

A minimum charge of £150 is made for a short term letting.

Holiday start dates can be flexible.

Minimum stay is 3 nights out of season, high season is weekly bookings only.

No smoking within the property, but smoking on the patio allowed.

Pets are allowed after discussion with the owner. A small charge will be made.

The South East England / Kent region

The weather in this part of England is often warmer and sunnier than other parts of the country, making this a beautiful spot to visit the beaches at Broadstairs, Margate and Ramsgate. The historic conservation town of Deal is only 7 miles away and has many folk dancing and music festivals.

The Dover / St Margarets-at-Cliffe area

The White Cliffe experience is a vast area of National Trust natural beauty and is within walking distance of the park. There are also the pine gardens and the foreland lighthouse to visit as well as many nature walks.

By road A20 or A2 - Ferry terminal is 4 miles away at Dover, where you can also get the high speed train into London St Pancras International which takes an hour. Also close to Kent International Airport. Nearest train station is Dover Priory.

“Visiting Kent with its cities including London” The bungalow park was very calm, no loud noise. The surroundings were very nice, so we could visit Canterbury and the white cliffs of Dover. Also the beach at St. Margarets at Cliffe an Deal are beautiful.

“Excellent accommodation and location” We chose this location with the intention of visiting different parts of Kent and for easy access to the crossing to France. The booking was very straight forward and we were provided with all the information we needed to find the place and settle in. The first thing we noticed when we arrived at the accommodation is how clean everything was and that the bungalow had all we needed for our stay. The facilities on the site are fantastic too and we made use of the swimming pool and gym as well as the evening entertainment. The Bungalow is positioned in an area that is nice and quiet and there was plenty of space out front for our daughter to play without having to worry. There are plenty of good walks in the area and with numerous coastal towns nearby there is always somewhere new to discover. We will definitely be going back to explore more of this beautiful part of England.

“Great Bungalow, on a site not overcrowded” My first impression while trying to find our Bungalow was, i hope this ones ours, thinking it wont be, to my surprise it was and the inside looks just as good as the outside. You will find everything you need in the bungalow, and yes there are enough towels ( save some suitcase space). It really is a great location for exploring kent and surrounding areas, Dover 10 mins or Deal 10-15 mins. A ferry to calais for 2 adults 1 oap and one 5 year old as foot passengers cost £49.00 so good value. The site is quiet and clean, It was not crowded at all, and no more than 10 people in both pools ever, and we went in almost everyday. ( The small pool is very warm ). “EXCELLENT BUNGALOW IN QUIET LOCATION” We stayed in `Bungalow 38` for a Week and were VERY Pleased with it - The Bungalow is of Excellent Quality and is Located in a Very Quiet area of the Holiday Park - There was `Not a Sound` at Night or during the Day. Everything that You could need during your `Stay` was provided. It is a Very Convenient Location for going to the Channel Tunnel or Dover Ferry Port to cross the Channel - It is near to many Historical Sites including the `Wonderful` Dover Castle - and there are a few Coastal Resorts within an `Easy Drive` away. Jenny the Owner was Extremely Helpful with Our Enquiries during and after the Booking Process. We could not have been more `Happy` with Bungalow 38 and would Recommend it without hesitation. Chris

“An Excellent Holiday Home” We have stayed here 3 years running and the accomodation is excellent. The Facilities on site are very good but not overlarge so very good if you like entertainment but not a huge park. Local area very historical for exploring Kent would reccomend Deal, a lovely old fashioned seaside town without lots of arcade type things and also Dover Castle. The atmosphere is very laid back and we would return again

“Quiet location and very good for walkers” This if the second time we have stayed at this bungalow and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Good base for seeing the area and walking. Plenty of eating establishments in the area, but most are only accessible by car. If you like watching the boats in the channel, park on the cliff tops after 6 pm when it is free, but spaces are limited because the bigger car parks are closed.

“Superb place to stay and within easy reach of many places in Kent” Very clean and well presented and reasonably priced. Within easy reach of many places in Kent and East Sussex. Ideal for day trips to France.

“Nice and comfortable bungalow” Everything was very smoothly arranged, by mail. The living room and kitchen were nice and good equipped. The bed was very much OK, as was the bathroom. It's just as beautiful as in the pictures. The Park has a great swimming pool with sauna. St. Margaret's is a very good spot to visit all Kent; from the park you can walk straight to the White Cliffs.

May 09 - Thank you for a wonderful short break in your excellent holiday let. Set in this beautiful area this location could not have been more perfect for our trip to Disneyland by ferry. The girls loved the swimming pool and children's entertainment provided in the evenings........... The C........ family.
