Situated between the Lot et Garonne and Dordogne borders, Fon du Bourg consists of two self contained, detached but adjacent properties both renovated to the highest standards, retaining their original oak beams, stone walls and tiled floors. Luxuriously equipped and beautifully furnished, the two units are ideal together for larger groups of family or friends (please note, they will not be let separately).
Gardens provide space and privacy between each building and the new, private swimming pool with Roman steps with its own large pool house and covered terrace enjoys stunning views and sun throughout the day. Superbly situated for touring both the Dordogne and the Bastide towns of the beautiful Lot countryside, the properties are only a half hour drive from two excellent 18 hole golf courses.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Lot et Garonne region
We are situated in the middle of the old Aquitaine and every village and town has something of historical interest . There are many Chateaux and castles within easy travelling distance from us and the countryside is amongst the finest in France.
There are many lovely walks, great lanes for cycling, horse riding and golf courses of championship standard within a half hour drive .
Douzains area
Fon du Bourg is situated on the edge of the small hamlet of Douzains which is 7 kms from the 13th century Bastide town of Castillonnes, with its good range of shops and restaurants. You may enjoy the bustle of the local markets, all taking place in the villages and towns dating back to the 12th century, and there are, of course, a wealth of local restaurants where you can enjoy some superb food.
Leisure facilities in the immediate area include table tennis, badminton and Boules.
How to get there
'Fon du Bourg' is situated on the edge of the small hamlet of Douzains, which is 23 kms from Bergerac and its airport. (daily flights from Southampton and Bristol with Flybe or Stansted with Ryanair).
The larger regional airports of Bordeaux and Toulouse are one and a half hours away by car and have many flights from London and regional airports and there is a fast rail link to Bordeaux via Lille and London.

# Prices include all bedlinen and bath towels which are changed weekly but do not include pool towels; please bring your own.Electricity, gas, constant hot water are all included in the rental price. Final cleaning can be arranged at extra cost. Bookings are confirmed on receipt of 25% deposit and full payment is required 8 weeks prior to arrival, as is a security deposit of 600 euros which is returned after the end of the holiday period. Please ensure that your travel insurance fully covers you against cancellation.
