Carrington Golf Course, Karikari Winery, and 9 gorgeous beaches all within easy driving distance. Cape Reinga is a 2 hour drive away and 90 Mile Beach a 35 min drive away. We are one hour north of Kerikeri, with a 35 min drive to Kaitaia.
Daily flights to Kaitaia from Auckland Airport. Transfers can be arranged, however, to appreciate all that our part of Northland has to offer, having your own car is preferable.
Our property has three lovely ponds... sit with a glass of wine by any one and enjoy the tranquility. Walk amongst the 400 plus olive trees. In April/May come pick your own olives and we will teach you how to preserve them. Taste the stunning olive oil Poppawhiwhi Olives produces and take home your own free sample.

Situated on the beautiful Karikari Peninsula, Poppawhiwhi Olives is surround by nine unspoilt, beautiful beaches. Fishing charters for snapper, hapuka, kingfish, John Dory, or if you have time, Marlin can be arranged with local charter fisherman who have their own "special" places. If wine is your thing, Karikari Winery, on the Karikari Peninsula, or Okahu Estate or Waitapu are all nearby. Try a round of golf at our stunning Carrington Golf Course, an 18 hole golf course that will challenge even the most experienced golfer. Or simply relax on our olive grove amidst our 450 olive trees, by one of our stunning ponds or just laze on the deck and watch the wildlife fly by.
Karikari Peninsula is two and a half hours drive from Cape Reinga, one hour from Kerikeri, 25 mins to historic Mangonui where you can take the heritage walk and see where the early settlers chose are leaving their whaling boats. Visit the Gumdiggers Museum at Kaimaumau on your way to Cape Reinga, if vintage cars and tractors and yesteryear is your cup of tea, Matthews Museum at Taipa has something for everyone. Kaitaia is 35 mins away and the Kaitaia Civic Centre, Te Ahu is a must see!
Karikari Market Days at Labour Weekend (October), Auckland Anniversary Weekend, (January), Easter and Queen's Birthday Weekend (June) are a chance to meet the locals and sample local produce including our cold pressed extra virgin Olive Oil. April sees the Doubtless Bay Festival at Mangonui, where art, music, watersports, produce, local wines and foods are showcased.
