The Millhouse is a striking building, which accommodates the large family we wanted to take on holiday. The six bedrooms are well appointed but the day rooms are a bit shabby. The kitchen is the cen… More
We allowed the family to view the property in advance for them to assure themselves that it would be suitable for their requirements. Much of the furniture in the Mill House is new whilst the antiques are in good repair and compliment the age of the property. Many of our visitors have particularly appreciated the furnishings and commented on them positively.
The walled garden for the use of holiday makers is safe for children with barriers to stop access to the water. Dozens of children have safely enjoyed the walled garden during their stay.
The property is self catering and we leave an adequate supply of non perishable consumables for our guests. After many requests for an inventory, we did explain in advance that we did not leave Tomato Sauce etc at the property for health and safety reasons.
We do everything possible to accommodate our guests, we are sorry that on this occasion that we could not satisfy our guests 100%.

"Really beautiful site, lovely restaured, very kind and helpful owners. Great vacation for three families."
Although the flood in July just had gone the mill looked like it was just restaured, the owners did a great job prepairing it for us to have a fine two week holdiday.
Three families from Germany, six adults, five kids and a dog we really appreciated the lot of space we had. Even if it had rained the whole time through (the weather was fantastic) we sureley would have had enough space to feel comfortable, just like home.
Lots of things to see in the area, beaches btw. 20 and 30 min. away (depends on what you prefer) and even a railway station at Maiden Newton, as well as various shops and even a fish & chip takeaway just on the other side of the road.
