Dorset offers an excellent climate through the summer and has excellent beaches and glorious countryside to explore, situated in the South of England Dorset's most famous beach is the Jurassic Coast, which offers amazing views and the chance to find a real piece of history in the form of a fossil.
In short Dorset is the perfect place to come and enjoy either its countryside or beaches with miles of untouched beaches and quaint little villages to explore you are never short of things to do.
Dorchester / Tincleton area
The cottage offers luxury self-catering accommodation and is situated in Tincleton, a quiet village of Dorset in the heart of Hardy's Wessex. The county town of Dorchester is only 5 miles away and The World Heritage Coast and Weymouth Bay 10 miles. Although extremely accessible to the numerous local attractions, pubs, restaurants and shops, the property enjoys an idyllic rural location set in 600 acres of farmland. For nature lovers this is absolute paradise with miles of beautiful woodland and riverside walks. Fishing platforms have been constructed to enable children (and adults) to learn to fish on private lakes and a nature trail follows the meandering River Frome, renowned for its brown trout and greyling fishing, which is also available to guests by arrangement. The water meadows are rich in wildlife and the River Frome is now a recognised Site of Special Scientific Interest due to its populations of rare species such as the otter and water vole. The farm boasts many enterprises including a small pedigree herd of Red Devon cattle, salad crop production and an aquatic centre which sells all types of home grown cold water fish and aquatic plants to the public. Guests are always made welcome and are free to explore the farm and the surrounding area.

Downstairs - 1 luxury twin-bedded en suite shower room with underfloor heating, television and access leading out to the patio area. This room is suitable for those wishing to avoid stairs and can accommodate those with disabled needs
Further details outdoors: Outside is an attractive patio area and garden which is totally secure for children's safety and peace of mind. BBQ and garden furniture provided. A private all weather tennis court within 50 metres of the property is also available for use by prior arrangement.

Wonderful house in a fabulous location with a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Emily loves all of the animals and we all had some very happy days out and evenings in together. Looking forward to a repeat visit next year. Had an excellent holiday, lovely and comfortable house and beds. We have all enjoyed ourselves and hope to see you all again next year. Excellent accommodation - very comfortable and a high standard. Considerate and thoughtful owners. Lovely location. Had a wonderful week - the house is superb and disabled facilities first class. Lovely accommodation - great nature trail, saw deer, fox, heron, egret. Walked, swam, ate, drank. Thanks for your hospitality. Athelhampton House is a treat - walk there! Arriving to a warm beautiful real fire glowing in the lounge was an excellent start to a wonderful holiday. The Lodge is a sensitive and homely environment which brought us all pleasure and joy.
