Au Coeur de Domme
About the home
Welcome to Au Coeur de Domme - our hidden paradise in the gorgeous bastide town of Domme.
Our cottage is located in the heart of the beautiful 700 year old bastide town of Domme. Conveniently located for accessing the shops and restaurants of nearby Sarlat (just a 10 minute drive), Domme is also the perfect gateway to many of the Dordogne's tourist sites, including La Roque Gageac, Beynac Castle and Sarlat. Regardless of your tastes, you will never be left without something to do. Of course, you can also simply relax and stroll around the town, marvelling at the beauty of the town and its unsurpassed views of the valley and surrounding countryside.
Our lovely holiday home has been decorated to the highest of standards with fine furniture, bedding and kitchen appliances to make this holiday home your home away from home. The gite includes a flatscreen television with UK cable television for over 25 accessible channels, high speed internet, great lighting for nightly reading or dozing off on the lounge, a mixed array of interesting books for you to enjoy, boardgames and naturally top quality bedding, linen and bath towels.
The kitchen is stocked with a ‘welcome pack’ to get you off on a flying start with washing machine liquid, cleaning products, herbs/spices/oils, butter, milk and bread. Our aim as always to make you feel right at home during your stay and we are happy to provide any other items as requested at a small extra cost to help you get started.
The master bedroom is positioned amongst the rafters in the loft with heavy wooden beams plus a view overlooking the square. An extremely comfortable queen size bed and great reading lights make this room the perfect evening retreat. A bathroom is also located upstairs next to the bedroom.
The second bedroom is located just off the main living area with 2 single beds making this ideal for travelling friends (2 couples) or a children’s room.
The real feature of the house is the large main living room with its glorious fireplace, cathedral windows and rich, yellow stone walls. The perfect place for enjoying the meal you've just prepared from local ingredients or simply relaxing over a glass of one of the region's delightful wines.
