An attractive stone farmhouse with generous accommodation for 11 people Primrose cottage is situated in a small hamlet close to a tiny village and a short drive to Domfront the nearest town.

The cottage is attached to Toadstool cottage the owners house, then Strawberry cottage (also available sleeps 6) please enquire availability for large family or group bookings.

Primrose cottage has a private access and parking, access through the front door into hallway with a cloakroom to the right with wc, wash basin, boiler for heating and washing machine the door straight in front is a double bedroom with French door leading to the terrace ideal for some unable to climb the stairs, the door to the left leads to the extra large open plan kitchen dining and lounge area with sky TV, DVD player.

On the first floor are 4 bedrooms 1 double bedroom 2 twin bedrooms one with travel cot and the master en-suite bedroom with TV/DVD player, also on the first floor is a large bathroom with bath and shower attachment, WC and washbasin.

Leading from the ground floor through large double French doors onto a decking area and terrace with table and chairs and BBQ for alfresco dining and a large shared garden with swings and slide for all the children to enjoy

The Normandy / Orne region

The mediaeval fortress town of Domfront (12km) with historic buildings with outstanding views of the area from the castle ,with narrow streets with many shops cafes and bars.

The stunning picturesque spa town of Bagnolles de L'orne with its casino thermal spa and quaint street cafes and shops, good walking in the forest at the edge of the town with a lovely wooded adventure trail with many things along the way for the children to play on ideal for,walking and a picnic .

The castle at Lassay-Les-chateaux or tour the cider museum at Barenton make a great day out.

Ideal for children the man made beach at the lakes of Le-ferte-mace with swimming fishing boating and peddle carts and so much more.

Day trips not to be missed are Mont St Michel with its famous Abbey and beaches, Normandy landing beaches, La Mans for moter sports.

Domfront / La Baroche sous Luce area

Primrose cottage is situated in a lovely area close to the foret d'Andaine ideal for walking, cycling and taking in the abundances of wild life including many birds, red squirrels, wild boar and deer.

Domfront is full of life with its mediaeval castle to explore and its Norman churches, the town has 3 supermarkets every other year it has a mediaeval festival.

For horse lovers is the nearby La ferme du cheval de trail and a little further afield is the French National stud of Haras de pin.

Nearby there are many mountain bike trails kayak and canoeing and rock climbing. For keen gardeners many parks and chateaux with gardens in their splendour.

How to get there

Brittany ferries Poole to Cherbourg, Portsmouth to Caen or St Malo Ld lines Portsmouth to La Harve.

Air flights from East Anglia or Stansted to Dinnard, Southampton to Caen.

The large open plan living area with well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and 2 dining tables for 10 with high chair and comfortable sofas plus sky TV, also on the same levels is a downstairs bedroom and clock room with wc ideal for the elderly.

The master bedroom has a TV - DVD player with the en-suite with shower , washbasin and wc.

Further details outdoors:
The outside terrace area is ideal for alfresco dining and sitting with a glass of wine to chat and relax which overlooks the lawn to keep and eye on the children with lovely views.

Low monthly rental in the winter for house hunters and any one in the area renovating please enquire for further details.

Lawn area is ideal shared with other staying at La Gautellerie ideal for the children to make new holiday friends.

Conditions

A non-refundable deposit of £100 is required to secure booking. The balance paid in full 6 weeks before holiday, plus £50 refundable against breakages or damage to property also if the property is not left as clean as you would like to find it.

Which will be returned to you two weeks after your holiday if you meet all these conditions, which helps us to give everyone a relaxing and stress free holiday.
