We would like to welcome you to this charming little cottage suitable for a couple on the outskirts of the beautiful village of St Fraimbault.
The cottage is located in a semi-rural area and surrounded by open fields with stunning views, a place to get away to relax and enjoy your holiday.
The cottage is open plan, lounge, dining room and kitchen, the lounge has a log burner with free view TV and the kitchen is fitted with oven/grill, microwave, gas hob and free standing fridge/freezer.
The cottage is on one floor with double bedroom, shower room and separate toilet.
The outside courtyard with table, chairs and BBQ has parking for 2 cars. There is a large garden at the side of the house with views over the countryside.
The short walk into the village of St Fraimbault will give you access to a local pub, restaurant, boulangerie and mini market. The village lake has a cafe and boating activities and provides a beautiful walk from the cottage.
Within 15 minutes drive is the medieval town of Domfront with its many shops, supermarkets along with local restaurants and historical points of interests.
There are also a number of restaurants within 10 minutes drive or just chill out at Montgermont Cottage with a glass of wine, local cheeses and a French Baguette.

About this location
The Basse-Normandie region
The medieval town of Domfront with narrow streets and castle ruins dates back to the 11 century and was originally one of Frances strongholds, The castle grounds overlook the Varenne river. Domfront has many fantastic restaurants, pizza houses and bars, where a warm welcome is assured from the locals.
Whilst the Domfront area offers a wealth of historic, cultural and gastronomic experiences as well as sporting and leisure activities catering for all age groups, it remains unspoilt.
Narrow cobbled shopping streets leading to the church opposite the oldest bar and the square take you right back in time. Settle down and watch the world pass-by whilst enjoying an aperitif outside the bar in the square. Visit the castle ruins from which there are wonderful panoramic views of the surrounding area.
Nearby Bagnoles de Lorne is a spa town boasting a casino, golf course and assault course.
The Monastery at St Mont Michelle offers an interesting way to spend the day. Not for the less mobile.
The biscuits at Lonlay Abbey are not to be missed along with the cider sampling at the Cider Museum at Barenton.
For the more adventurous the Foret des Ardaines is a superb backdrop for a bit of twitching, or for a spot of walking in excellent scenery.
Gorron is also approx 10mins offering petrol stations Large Supermarket and typical French local shops.

St Fraimbault is a beautiful French village, located a short drive from Domfron. The village boasts boules pitch, crazy golf, tennis courts, local boating lake with Pedalos. In summer Dances at the lake are held every Friday where you can buy crepes, chip, sausage, beer etc: Le Coquilecot restaurant offers a good menu from local produce and is popular with the villagers. Information on local attractions festivals places to eat given on arrival.
Pony trekking in nearby Passais. Markets every day in surrounding areas.
La Ferte Mace 15 mins away, has its own man made beach with sand, climbing frames, volleyball net and is a great day out with a picnic. The natural coast, Granville, Carolles, etc, is about an hours drive away to the west. Sit and picnic on the beach with Mont St Michele in the background. Dine out on fresh 'fruits de mere'.
There is a 9 hole golf courses at Bagnoles de Lorne, 15mins away, and an 18 hole miniture golf course. If you want something a little more challenging you could visit the golf course at Clecy or the 27 links course at Granville or the lakeside parkland course at Vire.
