Guestbook for Le Manior Nezement
Many thanks to Robert for a wonderful week.
Le Cottage is a delightful and well equipped retreat. The outdoor barbecue is covered with table & chairs and loads of space even if it rains. The weather was kind to us...except the evening of the BBQ. C'est la vie.
Robert's knowledge of the area was most helpful (and entertaining with his pronunciation of French names!!). Beautiful walks at La Fosse Arthour & Mortains. Visits to Domfront & Bagnoles a must and Mont St. Michel & The WW2 Beaches further afield. Lonlay L'Abbaye is a lovely local village.Great Boulangerie and Buocherie. Restaurant well worth a visit too!
Our 8 1/2 year old twin boys and Molly the dog loved Le Cottage and playing with Digs, Robert's friendly and fun Westie. We even borrowed some Mountain Bikes from Robert to explore the local woods.Ashley has discovered muscles he forgot about 20 years ago!!
A return visit is now on the Agenda.
We would recommend Le Nezement (Cottage and Apartments) to couples and families alike. You will not be disappointed. Isabelle & Ashley Watson
We have already had 3, one week stays there!... which .. must say it all!
It is a fabulous manor house set in a peaceful countryside location, with lots of walking areas.. the apartments are fully equipped, very clean, well presented and homely! Robert is an excellent host, and Steve and Helen, his right hand 'A' team at hand to assist in keeping Le Manoir Nezement at its best.
We have driven there from Calais on two occasions, which is sensibly about 5 hours , and more recently we took the Portsmouth Caen route, and it was only about an hour and a quarter drive from there ... and as somebody else has already commented in this guest book ... 'with a sat Nav ... its easy !'
There are lots of lovely towns and villages to visit and of course places of historic interest.. The local town of Domfront is worth a look... This last visit ... we went to a town where Bells are made .. can't remember the name .. but .. i'm sure will be noted in the guides!
On getting back in the evenings .. There is a good selection of films to watch from Roberts Video library... or .. just enjoy a glass of wine either outside or in ... and enjoy the rural French lifestyle...
Hope you enjoy your visit...

We stayed in le cottage at Le Manoir Nezement in mid July, and had a fantastic time. Well equipped and furnished, with all your needs are catered for inc a video library our 12 & 13 year olds approved of! Robert and his chief of staff (Diggory!) are the perfect hosts, always ready with help and advice as to places to visit etc. The local area is very picturesque. The local towns and villages are all friendly welcoming places, with excellent restaurants/cafes. Very highly recommended. Cheers Peter, Katie, Lisa & Craig

Normandy is really beautiful and unspoilt by tourism. There were lots of small towns and villages of interest to sit and have a coffee and look around, and also lots of lovely little spots by the river to sit and sleep off a wonderful lunch.
La Manoir Nezement is set in a very tranquil area which is perfect for exploring the vast area of countryside and is the perefct place to relax and chill out, yet only a few minutes awy from places of interest. We really enjoyed our stay and feel thoroughly recharged now we are back home.
Thank you for making us feel so welcome to your home. It really did feel like nothing would be too much trouble.I would certainly recommend you to any friends or colleagues heading o that part of France.
Thank you for everything, especially the Calvados which is going down nicely on the patio here as we speak. Andy and Jane Allsop

Pat, David and Richard stayed in the Gite last Summer. We'd had a week in an apartment in Paris which was great, but then wanted a week of total chill which we got here. Loved the local area and we visited Bayeux and Mont St Michel as well as the local villages. Couldn't have asked for anything more - highly recommended.

What can you say, the cottage has been the ideal base for our own search for a dream home. The setting so picturesque, the welcome sso friendly, the weather almost perfect and our very our paddling pool. Much luck with finding the source Robert. Diggory welcomed us home and asked if we wanted to play each day and our bovine friends came and spoke each day whist we basked in sunshine and availed ourselves of some grape juice. For sheer beauty, this area is hard to beat and with a bit ofgood fortune we shall be enjoying that in the near future.

Thank you so much for a lovely stay at ‘The Manor Nezement.’ Have never been anywhere so peaceful and feel well and truly relaxed now! Definitely recommend Montain and Bognoles for a visit and Le Clerk is a must for all the cheap wine. Lonlay L’abbaye is a really lovely little village and the abbey is stunning. Grudgingly leaving the cottage now. Hopefully be back in the future.
