"This is something very different - like walking into a museum - so old and full of wonderful history. It couldn't possibly be compared with regular apartments as we traditionally imagine. Kitchens and bathrooms modern and well set-up. Ideal for a big gathering - a large group could take over the whole house. There is extra, simple accommodation available in a separate small tower next to the house. The owner lives on site and is very helpful and knowledgeable, and has excellent English. This is a magic spot - an opportunity to reside where there are frescoes on the walls and enjoy a taste of old classical Italy

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area

Domaso is an ancient fisherman village located on the northwestern shores of lake Como: it takes less than 1 hour to Milano, Como, Sondrio or Lugano... just a bit over 1 hour to world-famous jet-set location: St.Moritz.
Bellagio, Varenna, Laglio (George Clooney's villa!!) are all within a short drive or boat ride

Domaso area

Domaso is the best place on Lake Como for Windsurfing ( you'll find two of the best schools in Europe within a two minute walk from the villa) and also for all water activities (swimming, Sailing, Water-skiing, power boat riding, fishing). Great trails for Mountain biking, or just walking. A great Golf course (18h.) is just 20Km away. Day trips to world-famous spots like Bellagio, St.Moritz, Lugano, Milano, Como by either bus, boat, car or train, find an ideal starting point in Domaso

Villa Annamaria was built around 300 years ago, in the late 17th century. There is a date engraved on one of the villa's chimneys: 1697. It is located in the historical centre of Domaso, an ancient fishermen's village on the northern shores of Lake Como. The villa is in a very quiet area, ideal for relaxing, but still very close to all facilities. The beach is just 300m away.

We didn't know that our hosts were such a public and popular part of Domaso life when we arrived, however, it's been only our benefit! People in Domaso ask wherewe are staying and when we reply "Villa Annamaria" or "Giovanni & Isabella's" we are instantly enjoying their grand reception. Last nite, as we sat in the cafè, with our complimentary bottle of champagne, we guessed at how soon we will return to your Villa and Domaso. Don't be surprised if our friends arrive first. Villa Annamaria will be known very soon to all our friends, some of them agile windsurfers!!.

Dear Giovanni,
We enjoyed staying at your nice home. We could see that you have put a lot of effort and expense into making it comfortable. We especially appreciated being able to talk with you, the convenient location where we could stroll to the Lake or ferry, sitting in the lovely yard and a good plumbing system. Domaso has a beautiful setting especially with the high mountains in the distance. Please say hello to Luciano the sailor. He was so kind to take Russ for a sail around the point to his mooring by the yacht basin one evening.
