Located at the foot the mountain Cader Idris, you'll find three routes to the summit of this breath-taking peak - one from Dolgellau itself.

The market town of Dolgellau is a bustling place full of rough stone buildings, pubs, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. The locations of our cottages ensure you make the most of this thriving North Wales community, but also allow you the distance and peace and quiet to truly escape into the countryside.

We've specifically selected our cottages in the Dolgellau area to bring you the very best of Wales. From these cottages you'll be able to reach stunning Cardigan Bay beaches, the incredible mountains of Snowdonia, crystalline Bala Lake, the thrilling, internationally renowned National White Water Centre and Coed y Brenin Mountain Biking Centre. The area also features the spectacular Mawddach Estuary, Harlech Castle, stone circles, hill forts, spectacular narrow gauge railways and much, much more!

There is also a range of other shops including a couple of bakers, butcher, several café's, hardware, clothing, hairdressers, 2 supermarkets a Post Office and a Tourist Information Centre.

Amongst the best places to eat in the area is Y Meirionnydd, just a 2 minute walk from the cottage. This contemporary restaurant specialises in delicious menus using local produce.
