The North Wales region

North Wales has to be amongst the most beautiful regions of the world; Mountains, woodland, rivers and lakes. A very fertile land with plenty of life giving rain, sun and, in winter, snow topped mountains.

When it comes to attractions, North Wales offers something to suit every taste... you will find there just aren't enough hours in the day or days in the week.

Castles, stately homes, gardens, lively family parks, art galleries, craft centres, museums, steam trains we have it all!. You can potter around charming towns and villages, explore our rugged coastline, feel soft sand between your toes, or have some family fun at the many events taking place all year round. Whatever the weather, there is something for everyone.

Snowdonia National Park, situated in North Wales, boasts breathtaking mountain scenery, crystal clear lakes and cascading waterfalls. Climb Snowdon, which at 1085m is Wales' highest mountain, or travel to the summit in style on the charming Mountain Railway. Alternatively, why not sample the beautiful green valley of Llangollen by steam train or from a leisurely horse-drawn canal boat. In July, the annual Llangollen Eisteddfod transforms the town into a unique centre of international music and dance, attracting musicians and singers from across the globe. You could also explore the beautiful coastline, safe sandy beaches and watersports of the Lleyn Peninsula, as well as Colwyn Bay, historic Conwy, Victorian Llandudno or the Isle of Anglesey on the north coast.

Dolgellau

Stunning, unspoilt, Snowdonia National Park.

Horse riding (Penmaenpool), sailing , windsurfing (Bala/Barmouth), walking (Everywhere), bird watching, picnics, mountain biking (Next door to world famous Coed Y Brenin Centre and Forest), trail riding, deepsea fishing, (Barmouth), outdoor Shakespeare (Harlech Castle), Centre for Alternative Technology (Machynleth). Nature walks all around the house including The Precipice Walk and Ganllwyd, with waterfalls and forest walks. The rivers in Ganllwyd provide excellent fishing. BMX and Skate Park in Dolgellau 2 mins walk. Shops, Bars, Banks, post office, pharmacy, butchers and Restaurants in Dollgellau 5 mins walk. Supermarket 100 metres away. Football/rugby pitches, Childrens Playground, Gymnasium all 5 mins walk away.

Dolgellau is a market town in North Wales, set in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. Dolgellau makes a great base for a holiday, being well placed between the mountains and the sea, and ideal for walking, climbing, sailing, and watersports. This small town offers amenities including shops, pubs and eateries, and within easy reach can be found castles, waterfalls, lakes and the most spectacular of landscapes.Only 200 metres from the Mawddach trail which takes you on a 8 mile easy flat bike ride or walk to Barmouth.

"Exquisite and beautiful and very stylish but homely feel."

I have now been to this property 3 times in 2013. On every occasion my experience was most enjoyable. From the booking to the directions/location to the accommodation to the decor and view - all were spot on.

Whether you are with friends, a couple or a family unit this place offfers and accommodates for all.

The views are breathtaking and the local amenities are literally a few minutes away.

Nothing is too much trouble. On my first visit there wasnt any soap dispensers in the bathrooms, on my second visit they were there!.

Cant wait for my next visit in January!

Thank you for your wonderful review. We aim to please. Enjoy your winter short break and thank you for your repeat business, it is much appreciated.
