About the home

Hello! Welcome to casalfiume, a beautiful ancient mill house nestled in the Hills outside Dolceacqua, 15 mins to the sea and at the foot of the alps. The house is on the banks of the river Nervia that winds through dolceacqua and up this beautiful valley. The apartment is on the top floor of the house and is surrounded by gardens and is filled with a soft beautiful light. The apartment itself was decorated and created by an architect, minimal yet comfortable and peacefull, it is ideal for a relaxing luxurious time.

The home itself is an apartment set inside the ancient olive mill. It has plenty of light and a sense of space, looking out onto the green lush nature around. The windows are full height and open out onto the terraced hills.
The interior has been created by an architect in a minimal and comfortable style to make the most of the natural materials. There is a real sense of peace and tranquility and of being away from it all.

The North West Italy / Italian Riviera/Liguria region

The italian riviera, and especially the valley where the house is nesteld into has a great microclimate that keeps temperatures mild all year long. It is the famous riviera known for its flowers and stunning natural beauty, with sea and mountain touching.
The house is located outside a rural town famous for its bridge and castle, Dolceacqua, and is a 10km drive from the coast and its beaches and only 20mins from MonteCarlo and Nice.
Its a great spot to relax and to go sightseeing from!

The Dolceacqua area

Dolceacqua is the heart of the valley, a beautiful ancient town with a roman bridge and castle, you will find all the shops you need and restaurants for pizza or local produce.

Fly to Nice Airport and hire a car then drive on the motorway to Italy. Come off the motorway at Ventimiglia and look for signs for Dolceacqua.
Once you have come to the town, Dolceacqua, cross it and its the second footbridge on the right across the river.

“Tasteful house in a picturesqu place” The house is lovely - done with taste and love, there is everything you could need on the vacation. It was nice to have a small but well equipped kitchen, to find little useful stuff - sewing kit or slippers or parmesan grater :) The hosts are very caring and friendly, it was a pleasure to communicate with them - we always eager to help and to answer all the questions. The location is great - just a few minutes from the picturesque little town, easy to drive to lots of beautiful places in Italy and France Response: thank you so much, was a pleasure to have you as guests!!!!!!!
