Villa San Marco is a new, beautifully restored, traditional stone building. The existing stone house has been divided into 7 apartments. Our two one-bedroom apartments constitute the entire first floor of the villa. The entrance hall has been re-configured to allow for a continuous, open spaced, 2-bedroom suite. Alternately, the two apartments can be isolated for two separate families.
Outside, there is ample free, secure parking on three sides of the villa. Just steps outside your door is a 6m x 12m swimming pool, surrounded by a large terrace with tables, chairs, and lounges.
Each apartment has a fully-appointed modern kitchen, with ceramic hob, built-in refrigerator and freezer, microwave/grill or microwave/grill/convection oven combination, washing machine, small appliances, cooking utensils, cutlery, and crockery. There is seating and service for 4 people.
The bedroom in each apartment has an extra-long double bed, a double wardrobe, a dresser, two night tables, and table lamps. Apartment 3 has a small bath-tub with shower. Both bathrooms have hair dryers and electrical outlets. All bed and bath linen is provided. There is an iron and ironing board stored in the wardrobe, and a clothes airer beside.
Feature walls of the original stone, with some lit alcoves, adorn both apartments. The large sofa is single-bed size, and can accommodate one adult. There is also a large, comfortable chair which converts to a single convertible sofa bed. A baby cot is available if needed. Free TV and internet are provided.
The nearest beach is across the street and down a few stairs. The swimming pool is just steps outside your door. Small shops and cafés occur at regular intervals along the jetties that line the waterfront.

About this location
The Kotor Municipality region
Montenegro, with an average of 240 sun-filled days each year, blends the gentleness of the Mediterranean with the ferocity of white water and snow-capped mountains. Whether you are looking for calm and relaxation, or excitement and energy, you will find it here.
Long sandy beaches and walks by the sea will bring you the silence you long for and place you in another time. Participating in one of the many celebrations in honor of wine and flowers, carnival processions, and dancing till dawn will awaken your joy of life. If activity is what you seek, you will be spoiled for choice. Sailing, sports fishing, diving, wind surfing, white water rafting, paragliding, hang gliding, horse back riding, caving, free climbing, trekking, hiking, biking, and skiing – Montenegro has it all!
Immerse yourself in culture by visiting the countless churches and monasteries, museums and ruins from the Roman, Turkish, and Austro-Hungarian Empires. Join a wine-tasting tour, or indulge yourself in some of the local delicacies at a cozy café somewhere between the waves and the medieval stone walls.
Montenegro is an experience that you will later recall with longing.
The village of Dobrota extends for approximately 7 kilometers along the coast towards Kotor. Its waterfront meanders beside numerous jetties and old palaces, shops and restaurants, and seaside cafés. Chequered with baroque mansions and ancient churches, Dobrota shares breathtaking views across the Boka, and is only 5 minutes from the ancient town of Kotor, listed a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.
Along the Adriatic coast, the town of Tivat boasts a town park, green even in winter, which is home to different species of exotic plants, brought back from all over the world and planted by local sailors. Porto Montenegro is a modern new nautical centre on the edge of Tivat. It is able to accommodate hundreds of yachts, and 150 super- and mega-yachts. Go and rub elbows with the jet set!

"Great apartment and great location!"
We had a wonderful stay at Villa San Marco. The owners Jane and Ken were very welcoming and helpful in order to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The villa itself was spotless and very well equipped with everything that you could possibly need. The pool was excellent and cleaned every day. The location of the villa was very good with the beach only a few minutes walk away.
We would highly recommend this villa to anyone wanting to stay in and around the Bay of Kotor.
Thank you! We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay with us. Respectfully, Jane and Ken

"The best place in Montenegro )"
Jane and Ken are brilliant people and are extremely hospitable. The apartment is in excellent condition, there were no troubles at all. The location is good - 5 mins walk to the sea, the proximity of mountains results in very fresh air. Slept with windows open widely. "Minimarket" 5 mins walk. The location is a good "base" for car trips around Montenegro - rented Suzuki Swift for 35 eur/day. Kotor - 5 minutes ride(shopping, old town, market, marina, cafees etc). If you like photos and description of the property - do not hesitate to go here. Spent 22 days with wife, son and parents. The stay seems way too short now =)
Thank you very much for your positive review. We were pleased to have been your hosts for three weeks. You have a lovely family, which we hope to see again in the very near future!
