Villa Lorna is located just 20 minutes from the beach at Balchick, 30 minutes from the famous Gary Player golf courses and 40 minutes from the Airport at Varna. The villa has easy access by local bus or taxi to the city of Dobrich where you can stroll around at your leisure and sample some of the excellent restaurants and bars. You won't believe how cheap it is to eat out until you try it! The villa benefits from it's own solar heated pool, patio areas and landscaped gardens. The grounds are private and fully enclosed by walls with the villa's alarm system linked to a local security company. A fully equipped summer kitchen incorporating a barbeque, sink with h/c running water, fridge & music facilities makes it perfect for those relaxing summer evenings

The Black Sea Coast region
The Black Sea coast boasts golden stretches of sandy beaches, rocky coves and idylic serene waters, and is fast emerging as a major tourist destination like Balchick, Kavarna and Albena. Village life in contrast is very traditional where the locals still work their land manually and their handicrafts are still passed from generation to generation. Villa Lorna is situated in one such village. Polkovnik Sveshtarovo with a population of just 160 is a peaceful village nestled in the Bulgarian countryside and yet only a few minutes drive to the city of Dobrich and just 20 minutes to the beach resorts and the 3 new golf courses. The village has a mini-market situated just 100 metres from Villa Lorna and a number of supermarkets can also be found in nearby Dobrich.

ALBENA. This blue flag winning beach resort boasts a wide sandy beach stretching to 5km in length. There are sport and recreational facilities along with night clubs, bars, taverns and folk-style places. In fact something to suit most tastes
BALCHIK is a picturesque seaside resort and traditional fishing town with many top quality restaurants serving freshly caught fish and of course traditional food and Bulgarian wine. Take a walk along the promenade and soak up the wonderful atmostphere. Worth a visit here is The Palace & Gardens of Queen Marie and the park which has a unique collection of over 250 species of cactus plants
CAPE KALIAKRA with it's wonderful views and stalls selling local craft is a must place to visit. You can relax over a drink or meal at the restaurant overlooking the sea and you may be lucky to get a glimse of the dolphins The Cape was the site of an ancient fortress, and some of the remains can still be seen. There are also some artefacts displayed in the museum
KAVARNA is a fast developing sea resort. Rich in history. This clean and welcoming town has preserved it's authentic appearance in spite of it's rapid development as a tourist centre and catering for the new influx of golfers to the area. Kavarna is famous for it's Art and Music Festivals during the summer
DOBRICH is the nearest major town to Villa Lorna. Admidst the hustle and bustle of this centre is the historic old town full of little shops and boutiques displaying a selection of local craft and pottery etc. Dobrich has numerous museums and several art galleries, it also boast a variety of clubs, pubs and good quality restaurants. A three course meal with wine/beer will cost about £8.00, a taxi home to "Villa Lorna" will cost £2 to £3
VARNA. The gem of the Bulgarian Black Sea. During the summer season the sunshine allows 10 - 11 hours of sunbathing. The sea is amazingly calm and free from dangerous tides. A visit to Varna would not be complete without a stroll through Seaside Park, the biggest park in Varna situated by the beach. Within the park area one can find the Seaside Baths, the Navy Museum, the Aquarium and Dolphinarium with amusing shows,also the Astronomical Observatory. You are spoilt for choice as to where to eat but recommended is Captain Cook's if you like fish dishes. Before you leave Varna at night take a look at the lit up Catherdal, it's awesome
How to get there
We can orginise either your transfer from Varna Airport to Villa Lorna and return or a self drive hire car which will be at the Airport on your arrival. Transfer time to the villa is 40 minutes.

Further details indoors: We have converted one of the upstair shower/wet room to a bathroom with bath/shower, toilet and hand wash basin. The en-suite shower/wet room remains the same as does the ground floor shower/wet room All three fully tiled rooms have toilets and are fitted with mirrors and excellent lighting. A hairdryer is supplied in all 3 bedrooms A cot and highchair can be provided on request
Further details outdoors: Balcony access available from all 3 bedrooms There are two brick outbuildings, one is for the storage of garden tools/machinery, sun beds and parasol etc. and the other as an outhouse/utility room for the washing machine and drying facilities

The holiday was fabulous. The Villa is beautiful and had everything you could need or wish for. The pool was great and ideal for cooling down during the lovely weather.
