The County Kerry region
This is probably the most visited county in Ireland and is loved by locals and foreigners alike. Known as the Kingdom, it is a haven for relaxation and holiday- making and its people understand the true meaning of the Céad Míle Fáilte, and give those hundred thousand welcomes freely and gladly.
These people are proud and strong as they have toiled for thousands of years to live with nature at its most rough and most grand. Livelihoods have been eked out from stormy ocean and rocky mountain for generations here, and many of its people have left its shores to build nations abroad. If you live abroad, there is a strong chance that any Irish blood in you is Kerry blood - its return to its native shores will be met with a welcome fit for a long lost brother or sister.
Dingle area
The Dingle peninsula is one of the most spectacular jewels in the crown of what Ireland has to offer. Situated on the South West coast, it combines a unique mix of natural beauty in its mountain and seascapes that will satisfy the most demanding tourist. It offers extraordinary walks, sailing, horse riding, top class restaurants and a host of pubs from the lively to the quaint at your doorstep.
To the west of Dingle towards Dunquin you will find many scenes that that formed the backdrop to David Lean’s Ryan's Daughter. The Conor Pass links Dingle to the northern shores of the peninsula and offers stunning views whether you take the easy route by car, or push yourself by walking over it. The beautiful strand at Inch is but a short drive away to the East, as well as the wide range of all the other gifts that Kerry has to offer.
The peninsula itself, and the range of sights that are available on the famous Ring of Kerry, offer you the opportunity to revel in the beauty of God's creation, in a way that exists nowhere else. Whether you want a totally relaxed holiday, or one that challenges the boundaries of active pursuits, you will be fully catered for here.
The local beach at Bín Bán is just minutes walk away from the property. It offers glorious sand, surf and sea in unspoilt surroundings. Further afield, you are never far away from wide, empty beaches throughout the peninsula, and will be struck by the azure waters that present themselves at Coominole under Slea Head.
The local bar and restaurant scene is vibrant all year round, and offers excellent dining with many local spots for traditional Irish music and song. Situated as it is on the extreme South West coast of Ireland, the town and area have been far less affected by foreign influences than other parts of the country. It lies within one of the last official Gaeltacht areas of Ireland; this is where the true heart of Ireland beats today as it has done for thousands of years.
How to get there
The property is situated off the main road just east of Dingle town on the fabulous Dingle peninsula in Co Kerry.
