The County Kerry region
Within the village in the surrounding area there is something for all the family. The village itself has great nightlife, there are friendly, lively pubs. Ferriters and Bolands are known for traditional music while Fitzgeralds has DJs most nights in the summer and weekends throughout the year. No need for taxis or designated drivers as its all a few minutes away. Castlegregory also has a supermarket, chemist, laundrette, gift & toy shop, kitesurf shop, hairdressers, furniture shop, and is home to a surfboard shaper. Just outside the village there is a workshop for windsurf sail repairs.
Cycling out to Fahamore and Kilshannig. Its a great area to cycle as its quite flat and The Beach Box shop in the village hires bikes out for the day. The ride out to the Maharees is fabulous taking in lots of stunning coastline on this thin sandy strip that stretches out into the Atlantic ocean. You can stop at Spillanes in Fahamore for some great seafood or just an icecream.
