The delightful village of Annascaul, at the foot of the spectacular Slieve Mountains boasts various shops, pubs and restaurants. One such pub is named The South Pole Inn, due to Annascaul once being home to the Antartic explorer Tom Crean. The village hosts many fairs and festivals, including in October, an annual walking festival. Annascaul is situated in the breathtaking Dingle Peninsula and the area is a haven for walkers as the Dingle Way runs through the village. The Dingle Way ends at the fantastic Inch Strand, which offers watersports, swimming and opportunities to spot wildlife. Annascual and the surrounding area is perfect for fishermen offering freshwater and sea fishing on the Dingle Peninsula. Nearby is the popular town of Dingle with its Ocean World Aquarium and the town of Tralee. Annascaul and the surrounding area has something for everyone, and you can be sure that you will not want to leave.
