Home description
The house dates from 1880, a much loved family home with exceptional views across the bay to Saint Malo, situated on the Vicompté point just outside Dinard. A path directly from the garden leads down to a small private beach. We are 10 minutes walk from the centre of Dinard and about 15 minutes by car from Saint Malo. Dinan is roughly 20 minutes from here, Mont Saint Michel is about an hour.
The Dinard Yacht Club, water sports, shops and restaurants, the casino and a seawater swimming pool, the ferry across to Saint Malo and the main seafront and gardens, are minutes away on foot. Gorgeous beaches, meandering coastal paths and extravagant 19th century villas stretch to the west of Dinard as far as St Lunaire and St Briac. One of the best links golf courses in France is at St Briac.

The Brittany / Ille-et-Vilaine region
Dinard airport is 5 minutes drive away, Caen 2 hours and Paris 4 hours. Take the ferry from Portsmouth to Saint Malo and low cost airlines from London to Dinard airport.
Saint Malo lies across the bay from Dinard and is one of the most attractive coastal fishing ports along here, popular with the sailing fraternity. Tall granite houses and narrow little streets crowd inside the medieval ramparts and the town is a cheerfully busy place with some excellent seafood restaurants.
Dinard area
Dinan is another walled medieval town inland from Dinard. The greatest pleasure is just browsing through the maze of old cobblestone streets and squares lined with trees and timber frame houses. There are terrific views of the river from the Jardin des Anglais and you can easily find any number of restaurants that have menus with dishes that range from traditional to gutsy, like roasted brick of Camembert, jugged rabbit and potted fish, grills, créperies and seafood.
Other golf courses include the Golf des Ormes and the St Malo Golf Club at Le Tronchet.

Further details indoors: The house has a large sitting room with a fireplace and a bow window looking over the sea towards Saint Malo, a television room and a large dining room with a garden conservatory. The kitchen is large with a tile top dining table and is equipped with everything necessary, including dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, oven and hob, microwave, coffee machine and kettle.
The first floor has 4 bedrooms - 3 double rooms and a twin room, one of which has a four poster bed and, two bathrooms. The second (top) floor also has four bedrooms, 1 double room, 2 twin rooms and a single room, all of which have wash basins. There is also a bathroom with bath and a shower room. A hairdryer is provided.
