Home description
This magnificent old coach house is situated only five minutes from the bustling, medieval town of Dinan and its historic Port on the Rance Estuary. Here you can enjoy a boat trip, a leisurely walk along the Rance Estuary or simply sample the French 'cafe life'. In Dinan, stroll along the cobbled streets and soak up the atmosphere where half timbered houses, churches and cloisters nestle together in harmony. Dinan also boasts an excellent market (Thursdays) and a host of interesting shops, cafes, creperies and restaurants.
Whatever your interests and whatever your age there is something of interest for everyone. There is golf, horse riding and bike hire locally. Alternatively, if you want to leave the car, there are plenty of walks across the fields directly from the gite and as the nearest shops are only 500 metres away, you can simply relax and admire the views from the garden!

The Brittany / Cotes-D'Armor region
This part of Brittany is steeped in history which is evident from the many castles, cathedrals and walled towns which abound. On the coast you can find a host of interesting places to visit from the fishing towns of Binic, Cancale and Equry to the towns of St. Malo and Dinard; heaven if you love to eat fish!
Inland the countryside is one of rolling fields and pretty villages. At Combourg there is a castle to visit and lovely walks around the lake. In Dinan itself you can visit the old town or experience the local French market each Thursday. If you want a large town you are not too far from the regional centre of Rennes with its cathedral, museums and shops.
Whatever your inclination, there is something for everyone!

Along the coast explore the 'Cote d'Emeraude' with its beautiful and contrasting sandy beaches, rocky coves and rugged moorland as well as a number of picturesque fishing ports such as Cancale, Erquy and Binic. Guestbook
We had a wonderful holiday, the house was perfect for us. I have never stayed in a place with such a well equipped kitchen- I thought they were joking when I heard my husband and son-in-law discussing which wok to use! We hope to be able to repeat the visit. Mrs C. Jersey
