Sabine Cottage, has been restored from a cluster of typical Breton stone cottages and barns, parts of which are thought to be in excess of three hundred years old. It has been restored and refurbished to provide a very comfortable holiday cottage, tucked away in a rural setting of complete tranquility, yet within easy reach of ferry ports, beaches and many local attractions.
Situated amidst peaceful farmland, about 25 minutes' drive from the beautiful Brittany coast, there are two acres of gardens and playing fields including a small children's play area (to give the adults a bit of space), and a boules pitch (to give the children a bit of space).

The Brittany / Cotes-D'Armor region
For many people, their most lasting impression of northern Brittany is its spectacular 1,200 km of rugged coastline with its wonderful sandy bays and rocky coves. Its historic towns and ancient fishing ports are fascinating places to visit; and of course, to sample the fabulous seafood such as fruits de mer, moules, scallops, whelks, lobsters and the most succulent oysters.
There are also many creperies which offer traditional Breton cuisine as either galettes, which are the traditional Breton pancakes made from buckwheat flour or crepes, which are traditional sweet pancakes made with white flour. The picturesque town of St. Malo is a short drive away, whilst mediaeval Dinan is but 15 minutes from Launay Arot. The nearest coast is within a thirty minute drive with wonderful clifftop walks and beautiful, gently sloping sandy beaches which never seem to get overcrowded!
Dinan area
Launay Arot is situated amidst the peaceful countryside of northern Brittany, within the beautiful Cote d'Armor region. There are an abundance of local facilities, including swimming, tennis, golf, sailing, riding, a zoo, shops, bars and restaurants.
Picnic tables and barbecues are provided for the cottage, and there are plenty of places to have a quiet meal, sit and read a book, or simply lie in the sun and enjoy the complete tranquillity of this lovely site. The grounds are child-friendly; we are situated just off an extremely quiet rural road which is ideal for cycling (bikes provided f.o.c.), and there is plenty of space for the children to play and explore in complete safety.
Our aim is to retain and improve the character and ambience of Launay Arot as a "family friendly" place to enjoy quiet, stress-free holidays within easy reach of a multitude of attractions for both adults and children.
Where to go and what to do:
Shops: Nearest is about 2 kms. in Trebedan (bread; croissants; pain au chocolat and a small selection of groceries). Small supermarket/butcher/baker/bar/restaurants about 6 kms. in Plelan le Petit. Main shopping: Dinan (15 minutes drive).
Bars: Nearest is in Trebedan (3 minutes drive, 10 minutes walk).
Golf: At least 6 courses within 20 to 40 minutes. Club hire available.
Beaches: Loads of beautiful beaches within 20 to 40 minutes drive. Atlantic coast beaches are also within easy reach.
Thelassotherapy: Dinard (30 minutes), St. Malo (30 minutes).
Riding: Plelan le Petit (5 minutes).
Restaurants: Plelan le Petit (5 minutes); Trelevan (5 minutes); Dinan (15 minutes).
Zoo: La Bourbansais (25 minutes).
Places of interest: Dinan (15 minutes); St Malo (30 minutes); Mont St Michel (50 minutes); Rennes (40 minutes); Combourg (30 minutes); St Quay Portrieux (50 minutes).

Conditions
- We ask for a 30% non-returnable deposit at time of booking, with the balance plus £100 per cottage refundable security deposit payable 8 weeks prior to arrival date. - We ask our guests please to arrive after 4.00pm and, at the end of your stay, to ensure that the cottages are vacated by 10.00am in order to give us sufficient time to prepare for our next guests. - Long winter lets - talk to the owner
