Originally the property was a Hotel and Cafe to service the Railway. Now converted into 3no houses, we occupy 2no of the homes.
There is plenty on offer locally whilst you soak up the peace and serenity of the countryside and keep the kids amused.
If you wish to kick back, relax and enjoy the local ambiance there are plenty of local beauty spots, history and sports, even if its only to stretch the legs down to the nearest local bar and restaurant, all within easy reach. Accessible from the shady cycle track adjacent to the house.
If you are looking to venture out and discover the coastline, unearth the history or are in need of a shopping trip. Le Quiou is a great base to operate from, with options " to do" in every direction.. Plenty of resident Boulangeries to tempt you, and a reommendation to try them all! EATING OUT The local Le Quiou creperie is open all evenings, specialising in the Breton Gallettes & Crepes, steaks and salads. It is very popular with both the locals and holiday makers. Reservation is advisable. Further restaurants and bar are located at Trefumel and Evran offering varied menus including the lunch-time special "Midi" usually consisting of 3 courses. The local lake & beach of Betinieuc hosts a small cafe for day time snacks and an abundance of picnic areas. |

South East facing gardens overlooking fields and woodlands. Secured access to a shared courtyard and well.
Ample parking to the exterior of the property. Offering a variety of sun decked areas, gravelled terraces and a lawned garden. Adjacent to the house is a shaded cycle track, that runs for miles in both directions leading to many of the local attractions including, the Chataeu du Hac, the ruins of a Roman settlement, the village centre and the local Lake. The Betineiuc Lake and Beach is situated within 5km. Opposite the house, at the old Railway Station is a shaded picnic area and Boules lanes.

Linen & Towels provided. However please bring your own Swimming and Beach Towels.
The property is inspected and prepared for each new residents’ arrival, to ensure they arrive to a fresh, welcoming and serviceable property.
To enable this, we ask you to look after the house during your stay. At the end of your holiday you are required to ensure the house is cleaned and handed over to the same standard as per your arrival.
Any damages, or additional cleaning will impact on the next arrivals, and could potentially delay their check in time. Any costs associated from damages or additional cleaning will be deducted from the Bond provided.

Situated 15 min south of Medieval Dinan town, home to the historic Port bordering the Rance. This bustling town provides an endless fair of Restaurants and bars, and plays hosts to a weekly market and regular summer events.
The Port offers boat hire and river cruises, and plenty of woodland walks. All can be observed from the key side restaurants and cafes. Bordering the Rance 5 mins down stream, neighbouring Lehon, offers an outdoor swimming centre, with 3 pools and picnic areas.
The Stunning Cote d'armor is accessible within 45min, famous for its sandy coves and glittering Emerald coastline. This coastline boasts a variety of beaches from long golden stretches, to secluded coves and rugged terraine. Seaside towns include St Malo, Dinard, Cancale, Lancieux, Saint-Briac, Saint Lunaire, Saint Jacques, St Cast..
The incredible landmark of Mont St Michelle lies 1 hr drive North East.
For a cosmopolitan inspired day, the renowned city of Rennes, the Capital of Brittany is 45 mins drive south steeped in rich history, offering boutiques and sophisticated dining.

The Dinan / Le Quiou area
There is no need to travel far for things to do. In Le Quiou and immediately on the door step is a large Roman Settlement, discovered in recent years and is worth a free visit. A 5 minute stroll takes you to the newly restored Chateau du Hac and a local bar and creperie to collect your daily baguette! The local bar is stocked up with essentials, so you hopefully you wont get caught short ... All is accessible from the shady cycle track that runs for miles in both directions, and is adjacent to the house.
Additional bars, restaurants, Boulangerie, Supermarket, Post Office and Tennis courts are located within a 3km radius. The neighbouring village of Evran borders the canal and is popular for walks with a small children's park.
Lake Betineuc is 5km away, and is reachable by the cycle path, bar a 1km stretch of quiet village road. There are plenty of walks, a sport circuit for the fit! and a sandy cove with shallow swimming. During peak season the beach is frequently manned and offers a range of water sports, providing plenty of family fun. For a quieter moment, an abundance of secluded fishing spots are dotted around the 20hectare lake.

The property is inspected and prepared for each new residents arrival, to ensure they arrive to a fresh, welcoming and serviceable property. All residing guests are responsible to handover the property on their departure, cleaned as per their arrival. This excludes the cleaning of Bedding and Towels, which will be undertaken by us.
We do offer an additional Cleaning Service to ensure you are able to comply. Terms & Conditions Apply. Please contact the owner.
