The Southwest Nova Scotia region

Digby is located at the western end of the Annapolis Valley in the most temperate part of Nova Scotia. The local area is famous for its seafood, especially scallops, as well as having the highest tides in the world on the local Bay of Fundy. There are many local vineyards producing great local wines and orchards are everywhere! Digby is home to the Wharf Rat Rally every September when upwards of 60,000 motorcyclists visit town. The other 51 weeks of the year Digby remains a perfectly quaint fishing village loaded with charm but also possessing all of the large stores in the local shopping centres. The downtown is full of restaurants offering the best in seafood, pubs and local shops. Deep sea fishing and whale watching excursions are available from the local wharf, a five minute walk from the house!

Thanks so much Brenda for the fabulous comments. It's great to see that others appreciate our Digby home as much as we do. My wife and I both loved your "walking into a hug" phrase as it's exactly how we feel when we arrive at 37 Carleton St.
Thanks again
