Enjoying an idyllic and secluded location about a mile out of Devil's Bridge, this 100 year old cottage makes the perfect getaway. Surrounded by rolling countryside and with spectacular views of the Plynlimon Mountains the cottage stands alone in 2 acres of fenced land.
Devil's Bridge is famous for its three arched bridges one on top of the other, where you can walk down the "Jacobs ladder" steps and into the Rheidol valley to see the 300 foot world famous waterfalls of the Mynach falls.
Red kites and wildlife can be seen in the pasture land adjacent to the cottage and the nearby Nant yr Arian visitor centre gives a close up view of the Red Kites being fed every day of the year. The Rheidol stream railway leaves Devils Bridge on a return trip and snakes its way to though the stunning Rheidol valley to Aberystwyth 12 miles away.
This cottage is ideal if you want an escape away from it all, with breathtaking walks, fishing, mountain biking and horse riding all within a short walking distance of the cottage. A trip to the nearby fishing villages of Cardigan Bay with boat trips to see the dolphins and seals is a must for all the family. "Rhos y Cymau" makes a truly perfect family holiday home for your vacation in the stunning beauty of West Wales.
Entrance is into the open plan sitting and dining room which has a high exposed beamed ceiling above the sitting area and a mezzanine over the dining area, the boulder stone wall is whitewashed and has a working open fire.
The SITTING AREA is furnished with a comfortable corner suite, pouffe, flat screen TV, DVD, VHS and a Stereo HiFi with DAB radio.
The DINING AREA has an attractive painted lacquered dining table with 6 chairs and a sofa.
The KITCHEN is small but perfectly formed and contains fitted units, electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge.
There is a UTILITY/BOOT ROOMat the rear of the house with a freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and space for walking clothes and boots.
There are two bedrooms downstairs and one in the mezzanine above the dining area.
The MASTER BEDROOM has a king sized bed, bedside tables, wardrobe and dressing table. French doors open onto a decked area where there are views over the paddock to the valley - an ideal place for breakfast or an evening drink.
The SECOND BEDROOM has a double bed with access from one side only so can only be advertised as a single bed, wardrobe, bedside table and a chest of drawers - a door leads to the utility room from this bedroom.
The family BATHROOM has a suite of bath with separate walk in shower cubicle, WC and wash hand basin.
Linen and towels are included.
The MEZZANINE BEDROOM is accessed via a drop down loft type ladder and has twin beds, bedside tables, wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Garden and Parking
There are 2 acres of pasture land surrounding the cottage; this is fenced and enclosed and mown regularly. Garden furniture and a barbecue are provided.
French doors open from the master bedroom onto a decked area where there are views over the paddock to the valley - an ideal place for breakfast or an evening drink.
There is parking for 3 cars in the double garage and outside the cottage.
There are night storage heaters throughout the cottage as well as the open fire. Electricity is included from May to September and charged for at a flat rate of £35 per week at all other times - please leave payment at cottage. A basket of logs are supplied, thereafter available locally.
A travel cot is available on request.
No smoking in the cottage.
There is a phone for incoming calls.
The property is WiFi enabled.
Towels are included in the rental.

Mountain biking enthusiasts make a bee-line for the Nant Yr Arian Forest Centre which offers some of the most interesting and challenging routes in Wales. Meanwhile, road biking devotees can enjoy a plethora of quiet road networks centred on Ceredigion's three Wales Cycle Break Centres.
The rustic countryside has Red Kite's in abundance and there is a feeding centre in the hills. You can also explore the history of the iron ore and lead mines in these hills. There are also natural underground caves left from mining. The Devils Bridge Steam Railway runs from Aberystwyth. Many cycle trails and hiking paths. And the Magic of Life Butterfly House.
