A beautiful renovated cave house, in Ostuni's dialect "Sala, alcuev e cammarin" (lounge, alcove and fitting room).
Full of character , with an exposed stone “star-vaulted” ceiling throughout, this residence is a special place to stay. It has a romantic large double bedroom situated in the elegant alcove and a quality single bed which can be also used as sofa in the lounge area. There is a new bathroom and kitchen that have been designed to incorporate modern features without distracting from any of the amazing character.
The house is in the old town of Ostuni (Annunziata area), literally close to many bars, restaurants and typical shops surrounding the piazza. There is a lovely bakery "Forno 31" just behind the corner, for you to try traditional bread and biscuits. You will also easily find the lovely “Villa Comunale”, Ostuni’s big park. The “Villa” has been written about in horticulture books around the world, as there is a large selection of trees that are rarely seen all Europe. The Villa is a new children's play area.
There is a huge market held in the new part of Ostuni town every Saturday morning and a very interesting antiques market held on the 2nd Sunday of every month around the outside of the Villa. Bargains galore!

The region of Puglia is the heel of Italy's boot and has a warm and sunny climate. The freshest seafood dishes, the greenest vegetables, the sweetest fruit from the land make it a real foodie mecca.
Puglia has beautiful sunny days almost from April till late October. The hottest of those are July, August and September. It is a land of olive and lemon groves and some of the warmest nicest people you could wish to meet.
Puglia is famous for the following famous places:
?"Alberobello's Trulli", cone-shaped-houses protected by Unesco as a unique world heritage site in the medieval mysterious "Castel del Monte" in Bari's area.
?"Grotte di Castellana" stunning Italy's largest underground cave.
?Fantastic "Zoo Safari" - Fasano with a small theme park: roller coaster, log flume, vertical ride drop, etc.
?5 major golf courses: 10-15 minutes drive away from Ostuni, a challenging 18 holes per 72 course golf club with great views of the Adriatic. "Barialto" 30-40 minutes renovated for its architecturally designed course winding through palm trees and 5 lakes. And lots of other sites and things for you to discover!
?"Lecce" has wonderful baroque architecture and fine boutiques. Plus the famous "piccolo" theater.
?"Cisternino & Martina Franca" has numerous jazz festivals and local fairs.
?"Polignano a Mare" a cliff top town with an elegant well-known restaurant inside an original cave on the sea.
?Water park "Acqua-in" definitely worth a visit: water slide, 2 flumes, swimming pool, bar, café - Lamaforca beach.
Steeped in history, the tangled centre of Ostuni ("The White Town") is made by small lime washed narrow streets. Here you are captivated by the perfume and colors of the flowers which decorate the walls and the window sills of the local houses.
Still somewhat undiscovered by overseas visitors friendly, Ostuni is a delightful place to enjoy the hospitality of local people. The breathtaking nature with its secular olive trees, the beaches, the sea, the high cliffs, make this area simply spectacular. Bars, restaurants and shops keep open late during the evening.
Ostuni is also famous for the "Cavalcata di Sant'Oronzo" (Saint Oronzo hourseride) on th 26th of August. Please, enjoy your 'passeggiata' with a glass of good wine and a "panzerotto" with tomato and mozzarella!
Locally you can have a visit to Zoo Safari and Theme Park in Fasano (signed from SS16 from Ostuni).
As for the activities of the area, you can have horse riding, golf, fishing, snorkeling and other sea and beach sports. Horse riding is available locally from 'Red Water' situated between Ostuni and Cisternino.
Golf Information: There are a number of golf courses within reach of the Villa. The courses are all quite different in character and are a pleasure for golfers of every standard, with a steady prevailing breeze adding to the challenge. The closest golf courses to the Villa are San Domenico designed to USGA specifications, situated between the ancient Greek colony of Egnathia and the small fishing village of Savelletri and the Acaya Golf course located in the Lecce province; both golf courses are situated on the Adriatic's craggy coastline with stunning views from most if not all fairways. Further north there is the Barialto Golf course in Bari, this is approximately a 50 minute drive from Ostuni. Whilst Riva dei Tassali and Metaponto golf courses are located within the Gulf of Taranto.
Windsurf and snorkeling are practiced in Torre Guaceto, a WWF protected oasis in the area of Ostuni-Carovigno. Torre Guaceto, hanging between stars and freshwater, is a place of outstanding natural beauty.
A protected territory of coast and sand dunes where there is an ancient tower built in 1500 by the Aragones to warn of invasions of the Turks. This is a truly magic place where you may walk or cycle and spend time in love and peace. Torre Guaceto is a must see and is only 10 min away from Ostuni and one of the most beautiful safe sandy coves in the area.
