It is best to access the "village" from the Queens park. The house is directly opposite the Duddingston Kirk manse. Duddingston village is also home to Edinburgh's oldest pub-The Sheep's Heid. Also within 200 meters of the house is Edinburgh's best kept secret - Dr Neil's garden - this is a wonderfully tranquil, beautifully maintained and well stocked garden possessing many secluded and romantic picnic spots.
