Modern and impressive, the apartment is built to a very high standard and has antique marble flooring

throughout. Air conditioning is provided in all rooms, not just the bedrooms, which can be used to heat as well as cool. The light & airy open plan lounge and dining area are tastefully decorated. There is also an LCD TV, Satellite (with plenty of English channels) and a DVD playe. The fantasically equipped kitchen, with solid granite worktops includes a dishwasher, stainless steel oven, hob and extractor fan, washing machine, microwave and fridge freezer. An iron and ironing board are also provided as are all crockery and utensils. An ipod docking station is also provided.

The ground floor also features one of the apartment's two large, walk in power showers and fully tiled w.cs.

Bedroom one is a spacious king size master suite featuring a hand crafted king size bed and a comfortable seating area . This has its own private furnished balcony with superb sea views. Bedroom two has twin beds (can be made as a double), wardrobes and dressing table. A further large bathroom is provided upstairs, again with walk-in power shower, making the Su Apartment ideal for couples sharing.

The apartment is located on the ground floor, the most enviable position of all, directly in front of the large, impressive swimming pool with spectacular, uninterrupted views of Kalkan Bay. French doors open onto a spacious private patio, where you can take an al Fresco breakfast or enjoy the early morning sunshine.

The patio leads on to one of the Emir’s two large pools, which are each surrounded by spacious sun terraces with sun loungers and parasols There is also a second pool, again with spacious sun terraces The on-site management team provide a 24 hour point of contact and security for guests' peace and mind.

An English speaking 'meet and greet' service will welcome you to the Su Apartment, where there will be a convenient welcome hamper to await you, complete with a good, chilled bottle of wine, whatever time of day or night you arrive. This also provides guests with some essential provisions until you have an opportunity to shop. Bedlinen and towels provided. Please bring your own beach towels. Twice weekly cleaning and linen change. The apartment has its own individual electric boiler to ensure a constant supply of hot water.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Kalkan lies at the heart of Lycia, a region steeped in natural history with a plethora of things to do and see along this captivating coastline. There are many places to visit, all within easy travelling distance of the Su Apartment. The nearby market town of Kas, is 20 mins drive or Fethiye is approx 1 hr away by car. Patara beach, often sited as one of the world’s top beaches, with its 18km of long isolated golden, unspoilt sands is only 15 mins drive away. Other places of historic interest include Saklikent Gorge; Kaya (Greek ghost town, subject of Louis de Berniere's 'Birds without Wings'); Kekova; Lycian rock tombs; Xantos; Letoon; Pinara and Tlos. Car hire is possible or taxis are very cheap and readily available. There is also a reliable bus service.

Kalkan

Kalkan is a picturesque harbour village on the south west coast of Turkey with winding cobbled streets and alleyways. The ancient old town retains its original character, surrounded by the awesome Taurus mountains. At its centre lies the harbour with a mix of local fishing craft, traditional gulets and visiting yachts perfect for a lazy day at sea. Kalkan village is only a genuine 5 minute walk away with its renowned wealth of superb restaurants, the best to be had in coastal Turkey. These can be found close to the apartment, along the harbour front and on roof terraces offering excellent views over the sea, superb fresh fish and succulent steaks. A wonderful evening can be enjoyed in a relaxing ambience soaking up the atmosphere of the village at night. Many of these restaurants feature annually in reports provided by national newspapers in the UK. Although sophisticated and chic, these have still retained their Turkish charm.

Kalkan's own village beach is only an easy 5 min walk away and there are also many beach clubs close by, which have pretty sunbathing platforms, direct sea access, water sports & great reasonably priced on site restaurants and cafes.Shops are very good quality with a range of merchandise available from arts and crafts to ‘designer’ handbags. There is a range of boutique style bag shops that hold many bargains compared to UK prices. There is also an excellent weekly Thursday market providing many opportunities for bargain hunting from t-shirts and jeans to spices and local farmer’s food produce. There are banks with ATMs and a Post Office in the village.
