It is 150m from the waterside and 200m from the South West Coastal path. The house is adjacent to the old deer park and a short walk away from Prideaux Place, national trust house.

Padstow is an all year round destination. Cornwall benefits from the Gulf Stream and a micro-climate that is warmer than the rest of the UK. Padstow is located on the South West Coastal Path and is about 40 minutes drive from the artistic centre of St Ives. The ecological wonder of the Eden Project is 30 minutes drive (www.edenproject.com). The Hanging Gardens of Heligan are 30 minutes drive. Cornwall South Coast and the beautiful town of Fowey is about 40 minutes drive. Land's End is about a hour's drive from Padstow.
Prideaux Place on Fentonluna Lane; a beautiful house is open to the public daily.
Bodmin Moor is 30 minutes drive from Padstow. Daphne Du Maurier, author of Jamaica Inn, lived near Padstow. The novel was set on Bodmin Moor and Daphne lived in Cornwall for most of her life. Sir John Betjeman was was frequent visitor to Padstow and is buried near to his home in Trebertherick at St Enodoc Church. His poetry captures a period in Britains recent history more vividly than almost any other. The Betjeman Centre in Wadebridge (4 miles away) is his lasting memorial.
Padstow is an ideal vacation for couples, families and groups of friends, of all ages, benefiting from being a truly year round location. World class restaurants include Rick Stein's seafood restaurant in Padstow and Jamie Oliver's Fifteen in Watergate Bay (15 minutes). Rick Stein's Seafood Cookery School runs 1-5 day seafood cookery classes all year round. The National Lobster Hatchery (next to Rick Stein's Cookery School) is a fascinating place to see lobsters being reared.
Surfing, kite surfing and lessons can be enjoyed in Rock and Watergate Bay (Harlyn Surf School 01841533076), as well as Newquay. Sailing can be enjoyed from Rock (Rock Sailing School 01208 862709). Stunning walks year-round along the South West coastal path which runs through Padstow, taking in spectacular scenery; dramatic headland and beautiful sandy beaches. Walking and cycling along the Camel Estuary is a great way to take in the local scenery (Cycle hire 01841 533533).
Deep sea fishing trips leave from Padstow harbour, shore fishing can be enjoyed in Constantine Bay. Riding along the spectacular local scenery (Tresallyn Riding Stables 01841 520454). For pampering and luxury, the St Moritz Art Deco hotel and Cowshed Spa is located at Rock (5 minute ferry ride from Padstow). Several golf courses are to be found in the area e.g. Constantine Bay. Cornwall is brimming full of creativity; there are many art galleries within Padstow and the surrounding area, as well as being close to St Ives which has its own Tate Modern.
