In stunning countryside, surrounded by working vineyards, we are an English owned and run small holiday complex set in 14 acres, on the border of the Dordogne and the Lot-et-Garonne, between the two rivers of the same name. Although we are set in a very rural and peaceful area, we are only a 10 minute walk from the village of Duras, with its good selection of shops, restaurants, bars and the famous fortified chateau standing guard at the head of the village square.
Our log cabin is ideal for families and can sleep up to 6; with a double and a twin bedroom. Externally, the accommodation benefits from being set in mature, private gardens, whilst internally each has a living area / diner, a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom.
The site has a communal swimming pool, a fishing pond and other leisure facilities (boules, play park, table tennis etc). In addition there is a very high quality restaurant on site with a large shaded terrace with stunning views.

"Lot-et-Garonne - a blessed little corner of South-West France made up of gently rolling hills, fields of corn and sunflowers, winding roads empty of cars and pretty little towns and villages, where people always have time to talk to you. It's like an unspoilt Tuscany or Provence, and I'd better shut up now or I'll be responsible for spoiling it!" Sam Taylor, The Observer Newspaper.
An inexhaustive review of Lot-et-Garonne's attractions include Agen's Museum, Henry IV's castle, the Lot and Garonne rivers, vineyards to visit, Bergerac, Bordeaux, theme parks and slightly further afield the space centre at Toulouse, Carcassone, the world famous prehistoric caves of Lascaux and the beach and dunes at Arcachon.
Duras and the immediate local area offers the visitor a plentiful supply of things to see and do: daily markets and evening markets (in July and August) are charming, social events that offer the opportunity to visit the surrounding villages.
The 12th century Chateau at Duras is a must see, as are some of the pretty medieval bastide villages. A natural playground, the surrounding countryside offers unlimited scope for walking or cycling (bike hire available) and visitors here are well placed for boating on either the Lot or Garonne.
Details of horse-riding and other seasonal activities can be found at our reception or at the local tourist office. From riverside fishing to overhead hand-gliding the region abounds with opportunities for all tastes and ages.
