The beautiful Isle of Wight is situated off the south of England. It is reached by a short ferry ride across the Solent. The Island offers everything for either a traditional family holiday with many top attractions, such as Black Gang Chine and Robin Hill Park etc, or for a get away from it all holiday with stunning countryside and coast, perfect for walking or just laying back and enjoying the view. The climate is milder on the Isle of Wight and the Botanical Gardens are situated at Ventnor on the Island because of this. There are too many places of interest to list, hence it being called the 'holiday isle' . The Island hosts several pop festivals a year, plus the popular Garlic Festival and just a few minutes drive away in Yarmouth, the Old Gaffers Festival. In June the bungalow is in prime position to watch the Round the Island yacht race, see a thousand yachts sail past with their colourful spinnaker sails. Perhaps one of the most famous events is Cowes Week in August, the sailing regatta which people from all over the world enjoy. The Isle of Wight really does have something for everyone to enjoy.
Freshwater is situated in West Wight which of course is home to the famous landmark of the Needles and indeed the Needles can be seen from the bungalow as can Hurst Castle across the Solent. Fort Albert is directly behind the bungalows and the lovely family friendly Colwell Bay beach stretches at the foot of the site. Nothing on the Isle of Wight is very far away and so all the attractions are easily reached without the need to travel for hours but you still have that feeling of 'being away from it all'.
