Ferme de Poséto is a fantastic, original farmhouse, on of the first buildings in Chamonix, dating from 1789, combines the natural warmth of the original character retaining its exposed timber posts and beams with a light, open, contemporary feel. The farm has just undergone a major renovation and offers comfortable accommodation for up to 8 guests in its 4 double bedrooms (2 double beds, 1 king-size bed and 2 single beds).
The architect-designed interior comprises three spacious living areas:
Lounge with comfortable corner sofa, Sky satellite TV with “entertainment package”/French TV, DVD player and a bio-ethanol fire.
Dining room with original melèze timber clad walls, oak dining table, sufficient to seat 10 guests comfortably and wood-burning “Jotul” stove.
TV lounge area at first floor landing level, with double-height ceiling, sofa and TV with DVD player.
On ground floor level, there is also a shower room with WC, basin and washing machine. The newly-fitted, well-equipped kitchen benefits from a breakfast area to seat 4, a wide “Smeg” electric oven with 5 gas burners, a microwave, , 2 fridge/freezers, a dishwasher and plenty of storage cupboards.
On the first floor, the double-height first floor landing with TV area leads to the 4 double bedrooms and a further bathroom with bath (with overhead shower), WC and basin.
Outside, there is a small garden with 2 timber decked terraces, one to the front of the property and the second to the side, enjoying magnificent views of Mont Blanc and the Bossons and Taconnaz glaciers. There is plenty of parking in a parking area just opposite the property or 40m up the road or in the large parking area adjacent to the hotel just 25m down the road.
The owner lives in a separate apartment to the side of the property and is on hand should you have any questions or problems during your stay.

The chalet is located in the hamlet of Les Bossons at the foot of the Bossons glacier, a distance of only 2 kms and a 5 minutes' drive from the centre of Chamonix. It is only 100m from the bus stops and train station serving all ski areas from Les Houches to Argentière/Le Tour and Chamonix town centre. There is a regular bus and train service running every 10-15 minutes during the season. The journey into the centre of Chamonix takes 8 minutes by bus and 13 minutes by train (official Chamonix Bus and SNCF timetables).
Chamonix is one of the world's most famous ski areas, having hosted the first Winter Olympics in 1924. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels are well-served in a variety of differing areas around Chamonix, including Brevent, Flegère, the famous Grands Montets and Domaine du Balme. Despite its reputation as an area for experts only, there are plenty of green, blue and red runs to satisfy beginners and intermediates alike. For the more experienced, Chamonix has miles and miles of adventurous off-piste, including the famous Vallée Blanche, an 18 km experience from the Aiguille du Midi down to the town.
The Mont Blanc pass also covers nearby areas including Les Houches, St Gervais, Megève, Courmayeur and Les Contamines, all within an easy drive. Slightly further afield, but within an hour's drive are Verbier, La Thuile, Flaine and Les Carroz.
