A beautiful tropical island with two stunning waterfalls, two natural parks and a nice old town in Phuket City where there are many Chinese Temples, most are over 100 years old, several museums and lots of great cafe's and restaurants.
Not far from our Villa you can test your skill in driving the ATV, or just go for an elephant ride. Don't forget to take a trip to Promthep Cape to watch the famous Phuket sunset!
There are small, nice local Buddhist temples to visit, or the big, beautiful Chalong Temple. On a mountain top there is a new great Buddha overlooking the southern part of the island. There is even an island temple at Koh Kaew (also known as Buddha Island)
On the west coast you can go to beautiful Kata Beach, Karon Beach or the puzzling Patong city for a bit of shopping at 'Junk Ceylon' or even a day of wake-boarding at Phuket Water Park. Enjoy an evening at 'Fantasea', a great show of Thailand in Kamala. Tickets and taxis can be booked with our local agent.
There is a zoo and an aquarium on the island. The aquarium is a marine biology research centre and you can visit their nursery tanks to sea baby seahorses and turtles, great fun for kids!
A bit further away but a great day out visit Pang Nga Bay and go canoeing through small caves into tropical mangrove forests.
Phuket is famous for its beaches but there is a lot, lot more
Rawai is well known by Thai people and tourists alike for its tree lined beach and wide selection of restaurants, as well as its quiet relaxed lifestyle. While the other beaches have become 'International Tourist Destinations', Rawai has retained it's fishing village atmosphere and you will enjoy mixing with the friendly locals!
You really must go down to Hat Nai Harn, the most beautiful beach on the island. There are no towering hotels on the beach, but nice restaurants with delicious food and an old temple with the monks in their orange clothing. Just a few more minutes away, situated between Hat Nai Harn and Laem Promthep, is the smaller beach, Hat Ya Nui, where many people go diving for the first time.
A little bit further and you are at Leam Promtep, the southern most point of Phuket Island, watch the sun set on the Indian Ocean. And then to sit down in the sand on Hat Rawai and eat a freshly fished, grilled mackerel. Visit the sea gypsy village to see the local fishermen working on their nets or explore the souvenir and fish markets.
A popular day out is a long tail boat trip to the many small, neighbouring islands to enjoy a day of swimming, snorkelling and diving or simply relaxing on the white sand beaches.
