Peyia is situated in the south west of the Island. It retains it's older charm alongside the more modern buildings on the outskirts of the village. There are plenty of Tavernas in the village serving traditional Cypriot foods.
Further to the west is the Akamas Peninsular, ideal for walking in the cooler months. To the north are the resorts of Polis and Latchi where boats can be hired and restaurants are around the harbour.
Pathos is the main town in the area and is spli between the old town at the top of the hill where the shops are and Kato Pathos which is the tourist area and harbour.
