The Black Sea Coast has a subtropical climate making it a perfect holiday destination from May - end September. The summer temperatures average 28 degrees and can reach 35 degrees but the breeze from the sea create a pleasant cooling effect. Burgas City, is the fourth largest city in Bulgaria and is situated closeby and perfect for shopping, sitting outside one of the many street cafes or going to the beach as the city rests on the coastline.
The region is popular with tourists because the coastline hosts many resort villages and towns so if you wish to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing location the area offers many small hotels and privately run accommodation providing guests with a more intimate holiday experience.
There are excellent public transport routes available in the region making getting out and about convenient and inexpensive. There are 3 major airports servicing the region, Sofia, Varna and Burgas being the closest to the area. Other option is airport Istanbul, Turkey which is located on 340 km south of Sozopol.
There are also a number of large lakes and protected national parks in the region and the outskirts of Burgas City is home to a Bird Sanctuary housing some endangered species and has some 2,500m of natural pathway within the reserve open to visitors.

Sozòpol is an ancient seaside town located 35 km south of Burgas on the southern Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. Today it is one of the major seaside resorts in the country, known for the Apollonia art and film festival (which takes place in early September) that is named after one of the town's ancient names.
The busiest times of the year are the summer months, ranging from May to September as tourists from around the world come to enjoy the weather, sandy beaches, history and culture, fusion cuisine (Balkan, Mediterranean), and atmosphere of the colourful resort.
Villa Sealord is located on St. Stefan Bay which is known with its remarkable rocky coast and high fiords, which resemble the Norwegian fiords in miniature. Further south (pretty nearly 500 m.) you can enjoy of famous Beach area Kavatzite Bay, closed by Cape St. Christ and Cape St. Agalina. There is a sandy shore at the end of this bay with one of the most beautiful beaches in the region of southern Black Sea Coast. The seascape here is typical for an exotic beach-high dunes of pure wind-blown sand, widely spread all over the shore, each up to 5-6 m high. You can enjoy the outstanding natural beauty of the rare sand lily, which grows on the dunes here.
