The Somerset region

Milborne Port

In the centre of the pleasant village of Milborne Port, Seymore Coach House is ideally placed for exploration of this lovely part of Dorset and South Somerset: walks and cycle tracks abound and many attractions are an easy drive away – Sherborne with its superb abbey, two castles and abundance of medieval buildings, the ancient hill-top town of Shaftesbury and the Georgian market town of Blandford are all well worth a visit. Several magnificent National Trust properties can also be found locally, such as Montacute, Stourhead, Barrington Court and Lytes Cary Manor; whilst for aviation enthusiasts, the museum at RNAS Yeovilton is a 'must'. Further afield the South Dorset coastline and Coastal Path are a good destination for a day's excursion.
