In Can Picafort you will find lots of restaurants for every kind of taste; fresh fish, excellent meat, pizza and pasta, tapas and typical Majorcan cuisine. If you feel a bit hungry, the numerous snack bars offer sandwiches, hamburgers and salads. For your coffee or tea break you will find lots of cafeterias on the promenade. There are also lots of shops there; beside shops for clothes, shoes and souvenirs you will easily find big and small supermarkets for grocery shopping. The next big supermarkets are located on the main road direction Puerto de Alcúdia or the other side to Son Serra de Marina. You will find also 2 gas stations there.
By car or bus you could easily reach other nice beach areas like Playa de Muro, Playa de Formentor, Son Serra de Marina, Alcúdia old town, Puerto de Alcúdia or Puerto de Pollença. The old town of Alcúdia with its little cobbled streets is a must see. Visit the old squares, the church and the town walls where you can also walk around the top of the old town. Lots of small bars and good restaurants invite you to stop off for a coffee or a snack and take it all in. On Tuesday and Sunday there is market day in Alcúdia and the town turns into a busy place with lots of people. Don't forget to visit the Roman Ruins including a villa, a bull-ring and an amphitheatre.
