Villa 282 is located on the old road between Pollensa and Cala San Vicente, within walking distance from Pollensa. It's a very light and charming country home with pretty private gardens and very nice mountain views. The villas open plan living/dining area is a welcoming room with terracotta tiles, ceiling beams and white walls. Two sofas are placed around the fireplace and you will find television with satellite channels and a DVD player. There is an oval pine dining table with seating for six and a traditional wooden sideboard and corner dresser. At the far end of the room, an arched doorway leads into a small corridor with a door to the covered terrace and pool garden.
The fitted kitchen has an eye level microwave, an oven and gas hob, a fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There are smart granite worktops and the room is attractively decorated in white and blue with gingham curtains at the window, above a small breakfast table. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, one with a double bed and the other with twin beds. Both rooms are decorated in traditional Majorcan style with tiled floors, white walls and traditional wooden furniture. The rooms also have beamed ceilings and window shutters and share a family bathroom. A wooden staircase leads us from the living room to the upstairs sitting room, the ideal place for reading hours with a cup of coffee. The second twin bedroom is also located on the first floor, as well as a full bathroom, and has lovely views across the surrounding area.
The swimming pool is situated to the side of the house and has a slightly raised paved surround and a sunbathing area set with sun-loungers for your party. There is a covered dining terrace next to the pool, ideal for al fresco meals, maybe prepared in the separate built-in barbecue? The well kept lawn offers plenty of space for children to play and there are neat hedge borders giving privacy and offering some natural shade. The lawn is dotted with small trees and palms and has superb views of the surrounding mountains. There is another covered terrace with patio furniture and Mediterranean typical greenery in stone pots, overlooking the orchards.
